For offside bulb, take the fuse box cover off. You can easily get a screwdriver on the top of the plug and finger at the bottom to prise it off the bulb.
You've saved my life mate!! Halfords told me I'd have to take it to a garage to have the headlight taken out. I followed your video and did it myself. Cheers!!
Excellent video though please note to replace the offside headlamp bulb (as I did) the access is more restricted by various engine parts, HOWEVER with patience and the aid of a small pliers it can be done as I proved. Thanks Gerard Burke for a very clear and useful video which saves time and money!
Hello, my offisde dip light needs replacing, this video shows its not that hard but as one said, he had to do the offside/passanger side one. There is a fuse box and others in the way making it hard for any hand I think to work in, can I unmount them to make work easier? Many thanks
As a general comment, if you have a problem with the side of the fusebox I had the same issue, a friend of mine used a screwdriver as a lever because the thumb could not fit in, and it works.
Absolutely listen to this advice, worked for me also. Unless you have hands like Jeremy Beadle you aren’t going to be able to this clip off without a screwdriver or something similar to release the top part.
Changed my offside dipped light today as it was blown out. Tried to change the near side but can't reach in there. I have 2014 model 208. How difficult is it to remove the headlight assembly so i can reach?
@@idiotbox7 Are you talking about the daytime running lamp? That should be a W21/5W! It actually says so on the plastic holder thing you pull off with the lamp ;)
Thanks for the video ! I saw a * tiny spring latch* on the bulb before releasing the bulb itself (on a year 2015 facelift model -Malaysia local assembled ) *remove the spring latch*, and you will be able to take out the bulb
Yes you can by removing more parts but no need to. It is not a designed headlamp for easy removal so useless the light is damaged etc.. it would not be option in removal of a bulb.
I record and edit problems/jobs that come my way in the workshop, if it ever does I will but where I live currently in Australia has very limited amounts of Peugeot's on the road.
Easy enough but when you accidentally unclip the little metal holder on the side where the fuse box is then your in for a long one. (Ask me how I know)

What about the left had side? Does anyone have a video for this? Its a nightmare to get to on the 208 model.
ive the same problem looks like the fusebox has to come off
Lol same here
My hand is too big for the left side
Headlight has to come off
Everything on this car is a nightmare ... I really like to see engineer who did this car replacing this.. He didnt think...
Absolute lifesaver. Just fixed my light bulb now, thanks to your video.
It was the left side though, so it was a tricky bugger to do 😂😂
Nice to hear that Roy from Reynholm Industries has branched out of IT support into car maintenance. Has he tried turning the car off and on again?
😂😂😂

Hello, can you please tell us what exactly bulbs did you use for the back.side.?
How to change on the other side?
Probably a silly question but do you need to disconnect the battery first or can you go straight in?
No need for that.
Just don’t turn on the lights when working on them
What lights is good for the side lights for white

great vid but wondering what's the smaller round light next to it called and does it use the same bulb? Mine has just gone :/
update: as someone just liked the comment... takes the same bulb but still no clue what the light is called! :)

Original headlights are VALEO?
Hi my husband changed his last night but unfortunately It only works on full beam now any ideas what he's done wrong??
Thanks for the video !

thank you guys, your video was 100 times simpler than the french videos!
Thank you Ferhat
@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarageav tried an followed ur vid but the lights can’t coming on with new bulbs an advice
Plz the dimensions of the light the big circle ?
Trying to do the passenger side dipped and lost the bulb clip/spring! Any advice??
You can get a clip or replacement spring from eBay.
Best video for replacing headlights iv seen
🙏👍
HI do you have one on how to change the drivers left hand headlight, everything we see for the left is for a 308 and cant find anything
It's a bit more complicated because of the fuse box. It's freaking hard to fit your hand in there to detach the connector, so use a plier
How come you pull the bulb out at 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock but put back in at 12?
His camera is not straight and that’s why he put an arrow pointing to the “Top”
Top vid. Fiddly as all hell to do, but only took me ten minutes thanks to this vid. Cheers fella!
Man, my hands didn't quite fit in there, but it worked, somehow. Thanks for the video, couldn't see what I had to do otherwise.
Thank you very much.. No place to work but after your video I will try
Amazing, cheers mate. Will buy the bulb later and install it
Cara, salvou minha vida mostrando como é por dentro. Vlw msm.
This video is pointing out changing long-distance (Full/high beam) bulbs and I was seeking the other, main (normal) bulb replacement process.
Thank you - just done this on my sons...was it designed for someone with hands of a 2 year old!
Its a massive ball ache doing the passenger side not a lot of room to work
Can you take the head lamp out?

By any chance can you do the DRL for peugeot?

@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage thanks so much I appreciate it!
Yes this one is simpel.
BUT, now the other site.! ! ! ???
.
Yes, the tricky side
Thanks for your video, very clear. I saved some money 🤑
🤗👍
The left side is Impossible
Krisztian5HUN why?
@@jakospanu bcause the fusebox and no room

Thx for the vid mate !
Very much appreciated 😉🙂
Cheers Matthieu
Unless the beams are switched on UK models, the exterior is high/full and the interior one is the low/dipped.
Not on my 2014 model 208 (also UK). It's the same as in the video. Maybe you have a newer year?
@@RozumUniversalRobot In that case the beams are switched. Mine is 2015, EU model and the beams are as I stated above.
Thanks a lot! I changed it myself!
