idk how well versed you are in the background behind this song but it’s about one of her co-stars joshua basset and sabrina carpenter (the blonde girl). it’s about how liv and josh fell in love and they had dreams of driving together, but apparently shortly after they broke things off, he got together with sabrina. once the song came out it caused an uproar in the media and liv’s fans pretty much bullied josh and sabrina for a year straight. calling sabrina a home wrecker, slut, etc. sabrina is a musician herself and she actually just released an album with the single “because i liked a boy” which i highly recommend! it kind of describes her side of the story and how she handled things.
There is two sides of the story, and this is heavenly implied that Olivia was in the wrong. We don’t know what specifically happened.
@@rickynunez8359 no no no, i think olivia is fantastic!! i’ve even met her before! songwriting is how musicians express their emotions. i wasn’t meaning that olivia was in the wrong, i specifically referred to the media because stan culture, news outlets, etc. definitely played a massive part in this entire situation and blew it unbelievably out of proportion. they should be able to make their silly little songs and release them without receiving death threats for years, but unfortunately the world isn’t like that :/

She writes her own music, produces, and directed some of her own music videos. Her entire album life support is a no skip for me and has brilliant writing and CRAZY vocals. She’s also stunning and sure to be another crush of yours.
