In this video, I will show you how to replace the side mirror on a Toyota Sienna. This one I am working on is a 2006, and the same procedure applies to 2004 to 2010.
The paint code can be found on the VIN sticker located at the bottom edge of the door (as shown in the video). Installation time is about 20-30 minutes.

DONE !!! Thank you very much. The local auto repair shop (which we trust) wanted to charge us 400 $ or more depending on where they got the replacement mirror. We bought a guaranteed replacement from online for under 40 $, shipped.I was done in around a half and hour on the 2007 Sienna install.

Thanks for this! Someone swiped my mirror off and the autoshop was gonna charge me $375 to replace it. Fortunately I bought a new mirror on eBay for under $50 and successfully replaced it myself with this video as my guide. I always have been intimidated to do auto repairs because I hate taking off the labyrinth of panels with hidden snaps and screws, and in the past I always end up breaking plastic bits and getting super frustrated trying to figure it out on my own. But this video was super helpful to guide me in the details of how to properly remove things in the right order and find the snaps. With your instructions the task was straight forward, it didn't take long, and it saved me hundreds of dollars. So I just wanted to send my appreciation for making and posting this helpful video.

Thank you so much!!! I had a minor accident where the side passenger mirror broke off. 2008 Toyota Sienna. After hearing around 300 bucks to fix it, I found your video. Order the mirror online for 40 bucks. Follow your video step by step and done! Works perfectly! If you are ever in Maryland let me know and I’ll buy you a drink. Thanks!

Took me 10 minutes to do thanks to your exact instructions! I found the mirror off an exact year and matching model Sienna on Craigslist. for anybody out there who finds a mirror that's a different color, it's very easy just to sand it down, prime it, and then hit it with a can of single stage White. You can buy Dupli-Color paint from any local auto parts place, but I do recommend finding a automotive paint shop nearby and just spending the extra $10 and buying a quality can of paint like I did because it's so much easier to work with!

Things to watch out for (learned from my own experience):
-That lower handle has an alignment tab that snaps off if you aren't real careful
-The upper handle snaps into the lower handle and will break it's tabs real easy, too
-The topmost screw (behind the plastic plate) is only into plastic. Mine was stripped out already
-There's a grommet that you need to remove from the door card before unsnapping the clips around the edge

Outstanding video; excellent step-by-step; well thought out and executed. One of the best instructional videos I've seen on RUclips. I understand, however, comments to the effect that you covered some ancillary/superfluous info early in the video: unpacking, inspecting, clean-up. That stuff ought to be saved as addendum - done at the end - so that viewers can opt out if uninterested. Thanks.

thanks for the video, fixed mine in 40 minutes. Only suggestion is buy those little tabs for the door because they are very hard to get out without breaking them and even harder to insert back in when stuck in the door, just replace them while the panel is off, they pop back into place. Thanks again for the step by step

Imagine if the plug was under the corner panel, with part anchored to not fall through. The whole procedure would have been less than 5 minutes.
At least we can see Toyota puts enough anchor points on so the car doesn't squeak and rattle when they get as old as they are now.

Thank you for this. My interior door handle will not work now. I'm wondering what I did wrong.

Check the cable linkage behind the door panel.

Do they sell parts of the mirror or just the whole side mirror?

Anyone know the part number for the screw type retaining clip? We stripped it and I'm having a hard time finding the exact part online. Thanks in advance, and thank you for this video, we got it done in less than an hour with your help!

Question - if I buy an after market replacement mirror that doesn't have all the same features (auto-folding, etc.) is the plug on the electrical harness the same size? Or are their different plug sizes for different model levels? Thanks
