Zpu 08 It's not a stretch at all. Its a majority opinion that he had the smoothest swing ever.

Canseco, Mcgwire, Bonds. I mean these guys are barely able to fit into their nineties uniforms as their testosterone laced muscles burst through the seems. It's so obvious.

Stanton with another in his series of CARTOONISH home runs.

Not quite up with these, but in 1970 at Cleveland's old and cavernous Municipal Stadium, no one had ever - as in EVER - hit a HR into the centerfield bleachers, which was a stand-alone section with space on the left and right of it. I was watching from near the tarpaulin one night when Chris Chambliss hit one to the right of the bleachers about 10 feet, and it would have easily made the CF bleachers.
Then there is the CF bleacher section of old Ebbetts Field. Only 3 players ever hit HRs into those bleachers. Two were believable - Henry Aaron and Joe Adcock of the Braves. The third was 165-lb Lou Brock of the Cardinals.
In Detroit and at Chicago's old Comiskey Park, both had upper decks in the outfield of both RF and LF. One of the great thrills was to be there when a roof shot happened. The first one was by none other than the Bambino, Babe Ruth, in 1927. And the first 11 were a Who's Who of power - Ruth, Gehrig (2), Jimmie Fox (6), Hank Greenberg, and Ted Williams.

Vin Sculley was confused on Mcquires hr. he said it bounced back into the seats. Wrong. that ball ended up in the parking lot. The longest hr hitter in baseball was Harmon Killebrew. He was hitting 500 ft plus homeruns without steroids and a ball that wasn't juiced. A true freak of nature.

i wanna see you hit a homerun after using steroids... Steroids will NEVER give you hand.eye coordination.. it may give you more stamina.. but you still have to hit the ball.

Mark McGwire hit the same homerun as Cecil Fielder but they only got a high, behind the plate shot of it, and only a brief shot of McGwire's full swing then cut away. I remember first seeing it on Sports Center and being disappointed that they did not have a better camera angle of it.

The only real moonshoter there is Cecil fielder. He just touched the ball and it would go 450 ft regularly. The rest of those poeple had to lift weights muscle the ball or hit with all there might. Cecil fielder just touched things with half swings and it sail...
