If you're getting bored of too many neutral color rooms, you can always choose one wall to be a statement wall. Either a bold color or a fun wallpaper. Enjoying the chill videos!
This is exactly what my parents did in their house. Most walls are white, but there's always one or two yellow or orange walls. It instantly makes everything look more friendly, warm and much more like a home. If you paint everything white or gray it just looks sterile and cold in my opinion.
I've sold this house for almost 100k before. Playing with the layout and really going detailed helps a ton with these smaller houses. Plus the garden can up your sales by up to 50% so it's really worth it to lean into a garden theme. I find English gardens fun because the gazebos are nice and I already like doing a lot of little areas of seating and flowers.
Weird note about paint efficiency, not that money is an issue in this series, but if you load up your brush with a cheap paint, say plain white, then click on a different paint colour, all the white paint immediately turns into the other colour without draining the coloured paint can at all. I always use that trick to balance out the amount of paint I buy because otherwise the remains of multiple cans get sold or a second can has to be bought, which feels bad. Tens of dollars saved!
this house is my home office in my most recent save ! it's always interesting to see how different people approach the same thing. I think I did dark hardwood throughout the house, for example, whereas you opted for the original pine and carpet. I keep forgetting there ARE carpet options in the game, lol
Have you considered using light lilac for a paint color? I like it quite a lot! Also thank you for explaining how you do the backsplashes! I don't have the HGTV dlc so I was confused on how you did it.
My friend and I started playing House Flipper together thanks to your series, and this was the first house we did. We ended up going more open concept with this house, it was fun.
I don't think I've ever actually been able to sell a house for a loss regardless of what I did. I'm pretty sure the buyers always ask for more than you spend.
I think the windows having different colours in the frame part is actually a design thing Our livingroom has green and grey walls but the windows are white because it increases the natural light through just.. being light but also bouncelight. It also adds another piece of contrast in a way that isnt out of place The bright windows are great expecially because our place is already small and light things makes a room look bigger while dark bits just cram it up..
Ooh. I just did this house. Love what you did for the kitchen/living room. I always struggle to get the kitchen small enough to have a decent living room area.
You shouldn't say you did nothing with the garden. You should say the garden is a blank canvas for the resident to put his mark on the house and make it truly his home. Everytime I see someone selling houses they say this about the unfinished places.
I was looking at the bedroom for a bit and i think maybe darker coloured curtains, possibly in a warmer colour like a burnt umber or something, could have helped to tone down the colour of the room slightly, and make it all match the furniture a bit too? yellow can be so tricky to work with, its SO bright and trying to keep it neutral is hard - you did a really good job overall i thought, i liked the branch out into something a bit bolder, i thought you did well with it even if it wasn't your favourite. excited to keep seeing what you do!
Regarding some wood options being available only with some chairs instead of all chairs, etc - that's not just a limitation of this game. It's a thing IRL, and it's just as annoying.
That was a sweet setup never heard of this game before as I'm watching this I'm downloading it on my Xbox game pass I'm a subscribe to your channel so I can see more of your videos seems like a pretty fun game

I love doing wallpaper in a small room. It's super fun and packs a bigger punch than in a large room :D
@@gilliangilliangillian same! I went for taking tasks on wallpaper as soon as possible. HF has cool wallpaper.

I watched the entire series so far, and i'm starting to wonder how much rugs wels has in his own house
Nearly every house so far has had an area rug on top of carpet, so I'm starting to question this too lol
Yall domt put rugs on the carpet? The rug protects the carpet from wear and tear over the years

and that requires the Garden DLC?
@@equestrianrosieYes, although it certainly should’ve been in the base game.

I really hope they add in just half walls of tile, etc and whatever paint you want up top. Seems crazy it's not an option already.
Got a bit of a cold wels? You're sniffing almost as much as me 😂
I normally love your interior design but that bedroom wall color is a total eyesore😂.
Edit: I'm glad you hate it too lol
It is a bit much, would've been way better with the lighter shade of yellow lol
Thanks for the explanation on the half wall tiles. I too wish there were more options.

Morning Celedon green is super nice calm color for a bedroom Wels!
Poor Wels, I hear those sniffles. Hope you get feeling better.
I happened upon your videos just recently. I think this game is so relaxing and I love watching you fix them up! Kudos to you bud! ❤
i like how wels is very keen and spends lots of time and effort into the houses even though he is not going to get much profit from the house.

No it’s possible believe me

I love these cleaning montageses, they're super sarisfying!

Hope your cold gets better. Loving the series again :D
Can't believe you're playing this game again!! I remember when you first started playing it a few years ago😊

No, no, no bathroom should never open to kitchen. Yuk!

About 270 right now, according to Steam.
