Thanks for the music to my life Mr Weller.I was at the Apollo in Glasgow for the last gig of the pretty green tour. Awesome gig, youre lyrics were well ahead of there time. Oh To be someone indeed. Funnier though when that bellend JR introduces him as the Jam, Wellers not happy is that why its cut out? Paul Weller I salute you.
@@edhalliwell3286 Rubbish. No energy or creative juices since 22. Weller’s going thru the motion of making music because his aging Jam fans will buy anything he puts out and who delude themselves thinking it’s enjoyable music. He no longer has the voice or creativity of what made him once great.
@MusicalElitist1 We're all entitled to our opinions of course, but I don't think Weller shares yours. He wouldn't sacrifice too much, even though Pilgrim does give him some great additional options like a fantastic voice and some solid folky-type acoustic guitar, and a second percussionist, but I still don't think he'd give up too much on the main kit.
The buzz rolls in the track that Steve White played in the original recording & live made the track but its really hard to do fluidity through the song so I guess why the drummer didn't do it
Stanley Road goes down with Revolver and What The Story as being one of the greatest albums of all time. The Bee Gees and the Beach Boys fail by comparison I am afraid from a point of creativity... and that's what we are talking about - taking the rock vibe somewhere new - I was convince that the Beatles had done all that could be done, but Weller man, he's a gift. John Lennon incarnate.
He never lets you down

Great guitar and transition, one of the best if not the best live performances on Jonathan Ross
"Have You Made Up Your Mind" is one beautiful song... "22 Dreams" was Weller's last album I truly loved from top to bottom.
Around the time he gave up the booze. After 22 Dreams most of his material has been subpar.
@@chastitywhore6141 His music has been mostly amazing since 22 dreams...... if he ain't getting through to you, you obviously ain't listening.

That's why they call him the modfather brilliant
Ha! Missed Stevie Craddock booting down the mic stand at the end! Sweet!!!
PAUL WELLER THE KING OF ALL KINGS !!!
The drummer is not a patch on Steve White!
Steve Pilgrim's a great drummer. Complimented nicely by Ben Gordelier as a second percussionist these days. Steve White is a dude though!
He also plays guitar

Dan RL I think that Pilgrim's a good all rounder

Love Have you made up your mind , not heard it on last 3 tours shame
Rod Stewart hair @ 1972.
LOL - what's the deal with kicking the mic stand, Steve? 8:07
Usually, we'd call that _"an accident"_
You can fackin talk. Pmsl😎👍
Never seen Weller with such a mess on his head looks like a stevie Marriott comb over - and this from an old jam nut .
Classic Weller !

Wow, I don't like Changing Man played on a tele. Totally different vibe.
So mediocre. His best years were already far behind him. Too egotistical to retire gracefully.
