So sorry people have that mind set I worked at Popeyes and saw someone sighting our dumpster when we closed I walked up to the and explain that the food in there was not good as garbage was dumped on top of it and if they are hungry just come to my window 10 min before we close and let me know your here and I will box up all the leftovers for you so you don’t have to get it out of the garage the gentleman had tears in his eyes and explained that he was trying to feed his kids and his sisters kids as they did not have enough food let me say that man came almost every night I worked and even brought more people to share the bounty with and were talking over 100 pieces of chicken all the sides biscuits and more it made me feel like we as people need to be better and kinder with others we never know what some people are going through
Sorry to run on about this but really she was saying she would rather it go to waste then share it

I would have gone into more depth that does she realize there r many starving families now then ever. U may want to call her again and ask her if she’s aware of that. That u donate direct to the pantries where they sort it out to the needy. She may ignore u when ur in the dumpster next time. U can’t get prosecuted for dumpster diving. Once she discards it, it’s not hers anymore. It’s the trash companies. I hope u know that, and the trash companies could care less. It’s less trash for them to figure where to dump it. I can tell the lady had some feeling for what u were saying, but she doesn’t have a solution. U should have asked her if her store would be interested in donating? Pantry ppl will come get it twice a week. Eventually these stores will be fined for not donating useable items like they do in France and a few other places. There r solutions. She just doesn’t have a mind for it. She sounds overwhelmed of her job as it is. U should go at night anyway to that store. U both should be real quiet too. U don’t have to describe the items. The viewers can see them. It’s best to move fast, get the items and go. Experienced divers go fast and leave. They don’t dilly dally like it’s a holiday invitation. They go and leave. U get all the footage. Just be quiet. Viewers don’t care about all that explanation anyway. They r just amazed what’s tossed and rescued.

I truly think these r the times of judgment. I think ppl who disregard the planet, animals, and ppl will stay on this planet with all the wrong doers, polluted waters and plastic in fish, and the caring ppl will go to a wonderful place. Ppl could care less about their own kids world. My neighbor knows everyone recycles their plastic and cardboard in special bins, yet he throws them in regular trash. Neighbors have alerted this new resident from India about recycling, and he said he didn’t care about recycling, and he has 2 teen daughters. U can’t fix stupid!

According to a 1988 Supreme Court decision that is still in place in 2023, it is NOT illegal to dumpster dive in any of the contiguous 48 states!
Be polite and humble, but inform the pushy Ill-informed cops that it is not ILLEGAL! Go on line and print out the legal decision and make extra copies to have on hand to give to officious cops or especially crummy little store employee’s who really don’t know crap about the law. If they try to arrest you, you have the paperwork.

We always leave the big items or metal items out of the bin so that the scrappers can get them. When people are dumpster diving or scrap collecting, they are WORKING and it helps out our communities and keeps stuff from the landfill. Keep up the good work.

So heartbreaking that the manager implied that she'd rather the stuff go to a landfill rather than help a needy family. I see so many dumpster divers that donate to shelters or make up bags to hand out to the homeless. There are so many people who could be blessed with what you find. A huge pet peeve that I have is the stores that bust open pet food bags so it's unsalvageable. There are many animal shelters and rescues that would gladly take it for the animals they care for.

Man I'm so sorry she did that to you. You handled that so well most people don't have the capacity to see that they could be helping someone else survive and they won't because they feel powerful. By telling her it comes down to you as the store manager and it was her decision she felt like here's my moment to shine and still said no. What a joke. I used to work at dunkin donuts and had people who would come and take the donuts at the end of the night. I worked the over night shift. And once I started seeing people trying to eat the inedible donuts out of our trash I started bagging them up and leaving them for whom ever would like them in a plastic container I personally bought and chained to the fence in our dumpster area (because of our furry friend problem). But I used to ask management if it was okay to give them away at the end of the day before new came in and they refused to see people carrying away money they could have made . When they found that tote Noone at dd would tell them I did it so I could continue to feed those hungry people looking for any way to eat. It's truly sad. I know wawa actually donates all there left over bf items to the local shelters that feed homeless daily or they will freeze them and hand them out at the local food banks. It's really nice to see that food doesn't go to waist.

If she catches you again and calls the police they can write you a tresspass warning or ticket.....thats it! I had to laugh when she told you guys to "Get out of her dumpster!" Kinda makes me think ya'll should insert a picture of that green trash can monster on sesame street over her face in the video lmao! Is her name on it? Dumpster diving is legally gray if the Dumpster is located on private property. If they tell you to stop, just stop and leave. Plenty more dumpsters to dig in. They are required to tell you or post signs if not allowed though. Handling the cops is similar.

Same BS happened to me at DG last week. Car pulls up asked what i was doing, told her pulling out stuff for donation and charity. Said she was the manager and I was stealing from the company, and was gonna call the cops. So I took a few things out of my trunk and threw back in dumpster, In the meantime another car pulls up behind her and talks with her. I think she was full of sh**, she left, but other car stayed there staring at me. As i was leaving store that car was riding my bumper, basically trying to run me out of town. I'd put money on it they were there to load up but I had beat her to it.

Now even in the areas it's legal to dive, meaning no ordinance against it, if they ask you to leave, you must because trespassing is a sperate law.
And once your asked to leave you must go.

Wow, that manager is a real piece of work…. Good job Adam, she was too much of a wuss to say she didn’t want it to go to hungry people, but instead to the landfill… People like her should have to experience what it’s like to go hungry, maybe she’d have more compassion… Some of the other divers I watch, dive at Dollar Generals in other states, and those store employees actually leave the food items in a shopping cart beside the sumpter for divers to take… She should take a cue from them… Very sad…

I can't believe that phone call you had with that particular store manager. Before I go any further, can I just say you handled that remarkably well, well done. Now back to the Manager in question, you clearly said what you were about, collecting the food and donating it where need be, she obviously new with your follow up conversation you were having you weren't just a pull up grab what you can and we're off guy. But when she said she would clearly see that good edible food go to land fill rather than it go to feed the poor, that I could NOT BELIEVE. And although those actual words never came out of her mouth, you listen to that phone call and everyone will agree that's what was said. For that, the store ought to be Named just so people know there policies on things, and it's up to them where they go, at the end of the day, everyone's got a choice to make. Well done you two. 🥰🇬🇧🐾

I love the way Adam handled this scruge store manager. What is the big dang deal it’s trash you threw it out which means you do not want it anymore. She was being a real azz about it. I hate when stores do this but mainly the one store manager or employees that act like the trash police (like the store or cooperation gives two flying ducks about half they’re employees ) these people go to great lengths to belittle or
Scrutinize others over items that have been thrown out! Adam left that bitter Betty speechless and I was here for it. Way to go Adam

They have tiny pea brains and only focus in a forward direction, no side views . They have no sense of caring about people and their families struggling or staving they live in a box 📦 and don’t want to open up. It’s a mad world here on earth! Gods blessings to you and your family 💜💜💜💜💜

She is following the rules...from corporate. Not against the law to dumpster dive. The judge will imply and ratify what occured in Calufornia. What's in the Dumpster is anyones picking. If the dumpster is locked no one can^t dumpster dive. No lock on the dumpster, then it's ok just as long as they leave it clean.

I just saw Milo's behavior in an earlier video. He likes to be center or in the middle of whatever you are doing. I noticed that he likes to go with you. Milo is trying to tell you he needs action and a job. He would make a great service dog or therapy dog. Whichever means the puppies that you breed also would make good police dogs or some kind of working dogs. They are great breeds, and you have only to train them, which would be easy since they are so smart.
