Hello, great video. But you didn't mention how to render the project to its usage size. A preview of the icon outside the illustrator environment would help also
Margarita, could you tell me how to find a designer who is able to make a pixel perfect icon. I couldn’t find a designer on fiverr who is able to do it properly!
Oh my god.... I had any idea of this... and had not believe on this.... I had think after exporting everything seems equal ... but see the differences .... Thank you so much dear :) Love from India
Great Video, thank you for that. I have to create SVG 32x32 / 16x16 Icons for a Windows Software for my friend. I draw the icons with Illu. I set my Illu to draw on the pixel grid. But the icons are a bit unsharp, if I implemented to the Software. Do I do a failure? Any Tips?
Hi, kobii! If we assume that the icons were drawn correctly, it's possible that the unsharp icons are displayed not in a multiple of 16/32. It'd be best to read some guides on that from Windows themselves, because in different circumstances there could be different standards of icon size there. If we remember correctly, they added 20/40 as pixel perfect size for some icons, so an icon created in 16/32 grid would be blurry in 20/40 grid in this case. Hope that helps!
I use Illustrator for logo desiging but face problem like how to set it in the profile picture of fb page and instagram,if I make it smaller then it looks so blurry and bad so plz help to solve out this problem.
Thanks for the basic of pixel perfect which helps grt but I really wish if u do some on the concept of grid and the subdivision how they linked because when I turn on snap grid option they seems same almost with small increments in preference setting plz explain it m waiting
How can I make logo for social media sites like fb, Instagram and so on that it can fits properly in their profile. And the logo shouldn't be pixlet? I'm facing these types of problem for fitting the logo in their profile but it is not fitting well and it is pixleting.
might need to try double the size and doubling all content and its going to be scaled down, work on designing in 8px grid style and then work and test.
Just brushing up with some illustrator tutorials and your video helped me recall many of what I've forgotten from a summer/semester away from being in a formal setting. Thanks so much for your content!
@@CastilloMoises you may have to simplify your logo - and or work on a non complex version. i have had to do that for clients all the time. but normally when i do a logo for some one i make a suite of options for all means. because one logo does not always work everywhere and to every size. signage, stickers, stamps, business card, ig and other digital spaces, need to be considered altered or adapted - this can make you more creative most times. - you may need to double or x4 the size of the item your aiming to shrink down as the avatar, and create it knowing that this will be shrunk down. removing unnecessary details noise. you may need to enhance a certain tone or colour or stroke to help it pop and stand out to the level you want. also remembering to test in a digital program like resizing your finished item just to look at it "your test with out uploading" , does this work, do i need to change any thing, do i need to apply a simpler treatment. ? - hiope this helps.
for example Icons8 logo, works as a simplified logo, not complex and it also two colour and contrast comes in very well because of the design. if i was designing to that size i would create item, export at size as a PNG8 of gif, 2 to 3 colours, bang, should be sharp details and contrast. hope this also helps.
Snap to grid should help. You need to have the center at the grid intersection and a radius which is a round number. If not satisfied, check the stroke is a round number. Also, try making stroke inside.
very nice and userful video, also for other nice creation and easy customization, google Folderchanger
