Wonderful conversation. I loved how BR was so patient to listen . The narration of boney Kapoor about his journey from North to South is so interesting to hear.
The fact that boney Kapoor was not questioned only about the film was so good. With BR, this is what we gain. We get to know the history and geography of the person to some extent, as his questions are such. I got to know about ballika vadhu and have decided to watch it. What more can we ask as film lovers..!!

BR is definitely not comfortable. But BK gave excellent answers and my perception of bollywood producers has completely changed. This man is amazingly knowledgable about South Indian cinema even before marrying sridevi.

Big revelation. Never heard Boney Kapoor speaking. So simple with so much clarity
I too heard him first time. His foray into South Indian cinema was interesting to hear. He was dignified in accepting his mistakes, quite articulate & was forthright whenever he didn't agree with BR. This interview gave the impression that BR didn't do his homework well.
Why again commercial after viswasam and veeram. Pls let him do something like ner konda paarvai. Dont trap ajith's talent into commercial genre. Anil Kapoor is good but Kamal Haasan performance is on another level. As someone who understands both the languages, Kamal Haasan win's hands down. Sometime in July/August 2017 , I had gone to watch the freshly released arjun reddy at PVR Gold Juhu on a Monday afternoon show , because south Indian movies wouldn’t often get an evening slot. To our surprise we had come across Mr Boney Kapoor sitting alone and watching the movie all by himself. Clearly a movie geek!! :)
Boney Kapoor is a senior producer who has in depth knowledge of cinema (South Indian, Hindi and other languages). I felt for Baradwaj its more of learning few nuances and understanding Boney as a producer and film maker than talking to an actor or a upcoming film maker.
Gosh! Boney's attitude.. 😏 Never seen BR being toned down like this!
Frankly speaking, Boney Kapoor's talking still better than BR and easily understood, more clarity.. but BR flow of talking is difficult to understand and strange some time not all the time.
Seems he is pretty good about films why don't he interfere in Arjun Kapoor script selection?
He states that with Okkadu's Hindi remake, he went wrong with casting (Arjun).

The interview went more like a discussion between the student and a prof on a discussion, where the prof clearly is not interested and student really tries hard to please him...

Bharadwaj sir was matured enough to see film as an art, and I honestly felt after this interview no one is a Pioneer in any field, it's just we are inferior to a field we praise someone who's having a clear cut path towards their success and they defend they aren't the greatest, it's the process! just the process they're infuenced by and they influence others...
Interesting interview from a business perspective. Don't think he's arrogant at all . He's confident and outspoken, comes with experience . Bindass attitude. BR doesn't seem to be intimidated , a new perspective for him. He's listening intently.

Agree BR should tone down his fanboy feelings for MR and KH a bit. I think this is a classic example of a clash between theoretical intellectualism and experience based intellectualism. Boney draws from his rich experience to narrate a tale and BR being on the outside is asking from a theoretical perspective. This prob doesnt go well with practical men like Boney.

My problem was the cheap attitude of people trying to fetch easy praises about their idol just for their satisfaction. What's the point of this question out there? Was he expecting him to say "KH Ulaganayakan ki Jai".
I am a Mohanlal fan but don't mistake me as those fans who uses the tag "The Complete Actor". Neither am I interested to hear such praises about my actor (the ones you usually see in Tamil/Telugu audio launches) nor ready to defend his flaws.
Another cheap shot was during Petta launch where the hosts were desperate and in fact forcing Nawazuddhin, Vijay etc etc to praise Rajni. What kinda act is this?
Boney Kapoor's response was perfect and clear backed by the tone of speech. That's why I called it a superlative response.
I would have ignored this question but I didn't expect this stooping level from BR. After all, he is the one who royally ignored Dir Bharathan's contribution in Thevar Maghan.
If you are willing to go for a debate sans filthy/cuss words, I am there to respond. Else you can go for the usual practice of any hardcore fan (b it Mohanlal or Kamal Hassan).

Accept it or not, Almost all Mohanlal fans seen majority of Tamil films including KH movies and same cannot be claimed by KH or any Tamil Movie goer. When someone try to make a person God of Cinema and belittling rest, there will be people like me to react and rectify.
One video where I had a furious out of control argument was with an ignorant KH fan who was abusing Mohanlal and his acting talents. This is just because Mani Rathnam recognized his acting skills and one person commented that he believes Mohanlal is the better actor amongst two. Is it a cardinal sin to make that claim? Even I feel Mohanlal is far superior actor than Kamal Hassan. It's my bloody opinion and no one in this world has the right to abuse/mock me.
Second video was when Bharadwaj Rangan completely ignored Bharathan's role in making Thevar Maghan. I ridiculed that approach and some voiced support for me. Seriously!! Do you know who Bharathan is? Have you seen his Thaazhvaaram, Aaravam etc etc. He is a legend...respected by stalwarts like K Balachander, Bharathiraja etc etc who changed the face of Tamil Cinema. From that person, Thevar Maghan is no surprise. But most KH fans think that KH did everything and others were like mere puppets. This is absolutely atrocious. Again I don't care if someone tries to think else.
I did troll KH fans who literally take his Ulaganayakan status seriously. They think he is omnipotent and knows all. I did troll Superstar Fans, Ilayadhalapathy fans, Complete Actor fans, Megastar Fans etc.
Hardcore KH fans reminds me a lot of Rahman fans. They think KH invented cinema just like Rahman invented music. Rest all are worthless.

Each one has their own style of responding to it. I felt he was good in answering with due respect. He is telling his thoughts and opinion. A "no kind of" answer doesn't mean it is rude.

Boney has been in the biz for a very long time, he has knowledge of South cinema, which not an avg Bollywood producer has today, BR tried to school him and got schooled instead.

boney looked like kohli assertive and his body language displayed that throughout. BR was defensive may be because of Boney's body language or ?? some Q's were very banal like pan India taste to illustrate and boney was quite dismissive about it and the point relating to okkadu/ Tevar..i thought it was a cliched question. I was surprised when BR raises a question on comparing Kamal and Anil .. felt it was out of context.. the tweaks question.. Despite these BR carried the interview well .. but thought i could share my perspectives ..
