Something that surely many do not know is that it can be done much easier with an html tag on your website or when the file ends it is an extension that the browser does NOT recognize, the file will be downloaded automatically or it will show a warning message warning that the device could be damaged.

This worked fine except for one thing - after the link is clicked, the message 'google drive can't scan this file for viruses' pops up - It gives you the option to ignore the warning and just download but that won't work when trying to come across as professional. Would you know any way of getting rid of that warning?

My file is too big and it asks for confirmation because it cant scan it vor viruses. (Yes i alredy zipped it) Is there any way to solve this problem?
This is great! It's too bad that Microsoft Store requires not just a download link just to submit an exe installer file, but the download link has to start with https and it needs to have a version number in it!!!! It is so frustrating!

Folders cannot be automatically downloaded.
Instead, create a zip file from your multiple files and upload this.
Then create an auto-download link from the zip file.

Thank you! This is so very helpful. Quick question- when I access the link on mobile, I am prompted to choose a gmail account and then it takes me to the document instead of auto-downloading. Is there anyway to prevent this? (I want people to stay on the same page after clicking the link so that they can book a call)

I tried this with an apk file, but it does not download directly like your video. It asks to choose Drive or Chrome and then takes us to the Drive page. How to force it to download directly without all the shenanigans.

So I'm trying to generate a direct download for a folder in my google drive, rather than an individual file, so the link that I generate when I share it is a bit different than the one you generated. Any idea on how to fix this?
You would need to create a zip file, then upload this to Google Drive and follow the same process.

I think for some funny reasons, this doesn't work in the sense that the file gets corrupted once downloaded. It downloads with a default name “uc”. How can I solve this problem?

@@rocksonlhandon Strange that a PDF is being downloaded as a UC file type. This would be caused either be settings on your browser or by a device type that does not support downloading PDF files.
This process works great from a computer, but on a phone it just opens a page with the image/file. Any remedy for that?
That is dependant on the mobile device you use. An image file should have no issue in automatically downloading to your mobile device..
I want to automate unique .jpg images to different e-mails on spreadsheet from google drive. Is their a software that will grab the url's in bulk from a folder and create a CSV or excel sheet with the UC......code?

All you need to do is highlight the link you created, copy and paste it :)

You would need to download a zip file of the folder itself and then upload this to your Google Drive.

Correct, replacing a Google file with an updated version will cause a break.
No workaround for this when generating automatic download links.

You would need to use a more complex platform for this. It is not possible with a free file storage platform.

@@steepercreve How large is your HTML file, the generator allows HTML File Links to be converted into a direct download links without issue.
Perhaps you see an error message when using the generated URL?
