She was told to do it by the company shooting the ad! They were taken to all of the tourist attractions too! That house they stayed at was $5,000 a night during prime season and $1,000 off season! They were paid by the rental company!

Glad y’all had a great time! Not that there is anything wrong with where you stayed but if anyone is wondering, there are very inexpensive ways to go. We go to the Outerbanks every year. Try going in September, still warm, homes are a fraction of the cost and the beaches are quiet. We rent a huge house with our family and split the cost. Cheapest vacation ever. A house with a pool, a hot tub and a beach nearby, ability to cook and eat at the house, it makes for a very relaxing and inexpensive vacation.

I remember after she had zade how hard everything was and how much uncertainty she was feeling and watching her today enjoying her bday with no extreme worries about falling ill. I'm so happy and thankful she is where she is at this moment.
That is because she is on medication but they still don't know WHY she is having problems.
@nancyfarkas3592 I'm aware. I have similar health issues so I understand her struggle but my comment still stands. She is able to go somewhere and not be as scared or concerned. That is a huge thing for someone who struggles with health issues.

Happy Birthday, Carlin. So glad you had a great time. Since you enjoy lighthouses so much, consider getting a lighthouse passport. As you visit a lighthouse get a stamp. Usually you get the passport and the stamp at the giftshop. It's possible that Amazon has the passports, too.

We live in NC and vacation in OBX often. We are in the early stages of designing our future home and a move to OBX, the Manteo area. It’s more of a laid back town. If you are staying down the beach in Corolla you can see the horses at dusk all over the place. The yellow house you toured was the very first house in all of the OBX to have electricity, fun fact.❤

The OBX is one of my favorite places anywhere. My husband and is wife live there, so we can go often! I wouldn’t need to go anywhere else except their home and the out door deck! Go spend more time. I think you were on the north end of the island and we stay on the south. Not as many people. They also have a fairy over to the island of Ocracoke. Go again with lots of family and rent the super big houses. Lots of people, not lots of money!!!
I’m an hour from the Outer Banks, it’s a beautiful place to visit, excellent views and beaches with great restaurants and shopping. You guys just rock!
