Meghan's Grandmother Ruby Imion Ingham was my grandfathers sister. I grew up in the same house Ruby grew up in. I have a lot of the old family pictures (one of the farm house with Ruby in a baby in a carriage around 1893) an extensive genealogy, the Fuller family Bible and much more. Would be happy to share and pass family things on to Meghan.
I was so excited to see our Kreft family being represented in this clip. My maternal grandmother and Daryl’s paternal grandmother are sisters. I was extremely close to my grandmother (Oma). Just have one correction. We are actually German. Zappot was a town in Danzig. It was actually a part of Germany pre WWII. Post WWII, it became a part of Poland.
And btw, surname Kreft is a typical Kashubian surname. Still many people in here have this surname. We are small nation which is living here for hundreds years. One of our greatest writers, Nobel prize winner, Gunther Grass once said that we were always too Polish for Germans, and too German to Polish people ;)
