Thank you Holy Spirit for bringing this song back to my heart ❤. I remember listening to it when I was a kid. I tried remembering to tell my kids about it when I made us read John 1, all I could remember was NE MU NA NKWA WO, so as usual I went to Google and here it was after so many years and song is alive to me again. The WORD of God is true and alive and always fresh and new.
I was a foundation member, and Bra Yaw was my spiritual father! We broke away due to misunderstanding somewhere in 1990/91. However as a vocalist l featured in my first TV musical, then called 'Sing Along' with Rev YABS in 1989. Infact YABS is an Acronym standing for Yaw Agyeman Badu and the Saints (ie we the members). We featured a lot on TV whenever there was an interlude before eg the NEWS, it was YABS. He knew how to make the officers feel special so the were willing to help anytime. Infact, people could recognise us when we walked around. Likewise my sixth form mates and juniors all started to call me 'Ne Mu Na Nkwa Wo'! God bless Bra Yaw, Reverend!!
My church is studying the Gospel of John chapters 1 & 24. I sang this song after the Bible discussions last Sunday and it was marvelous. I didn't know I could find YABS songs on RUclips. Thank God for YABS. You gave us true Gospel songs when we were growing up. I hope he is still alive. Praise God!!!!!
