I deconstructed my weeks one year and punched it and put it in a personal rings planner. The paper held up well and I loved the ability to add additional pages.
i had the thought to do this exact experiment today and i am so glad i was able to find your video to see how i could do it! thank you for sharing, such a brilliant idea!
@@rc17268 I've been in a Kinbor Vertical TN size for the last few years and will continue that layout in a Sterling Ink. I have nutso daily to-do lists, but no need to move things around.
This is great, I was wondering why there weren't more videos of people doing this, it makes a lot of sense to me.Congratulations on your new plotter, I'm looking forward to one, but it's not something I can afford right now. Thanks for this video, I hope you continue to give us updates on how it worked for you.
I agree. I found a few videos that sort of compared the narrow to the weeks, but none focusing on page size. So happy it works! I think more people are inclined to use the Bible size & just chop the page bottoms. I know that for me, the pages would be too narrow for that size. ;) I’ve filmed a day 1 move in/set up, but am going to wait and add a 1 week thoughts to it. Stay tuned!
I am also a Hobonichi Weeks convert and I bought the lifter with the pen sleeve hoping it would work in the weeks. Right now I have it inside the front of my Chic Sparrow Weeks cover. I want it to work but I struggle with the pen sleeve because it's stiff.
I just did this with my bible size. I just had to make one cut on the bottom and my weeks fit beautifully! I’m torn between a weeks or trying the plotter inserts that I already purchased ….. hmmm
Sometimes I wish sample months were available…not that the inserts are super pricey…but it feels so wasteful to try & then discard something unused. 🤦♀️
Aah. So you tried the Plotter Penholder w/Lifter in the Weeks book? That’s smart! That’s another drawback of book planners-no pen loop. I always had to use the clear cover on cover or a leather cover w/a pen loop.
I’m doing this too and my plotter is on its way. May I ask though why you didn’t just cut from the center so you don’t cut off any of the space on the days/dates side?
I think my thoughts were that I couldn’t rely on that edge being chopped off straight w/the exacto knife from hand cutting; that hand cut side might not be exactly the same or exactly straight on every page. Probably doesn’t matter if you are super careful & precise with your hand cutting. Hope that makes sense!
@@doris1998 I’m sure it could work either way! I just prefer to trim off the edge I hand cut, I guess! Still drinking coffee…maybe I’m not understanding! lol! I just prefer to keep the factory cut side in tact whenever possible
Love my Plotters! Just did a video this week unboxing from them! :) There's so many great Weeks size planners out now - its great we can cut them and put them in the narrow or Bible size plotters! I’m actually cutting up planners to put in my VDS rings for 2024 and I’m so excited to do it and share! But need the planners to come first 😝
I agree!!! This is the first ringed cover (that I’ve found) that works well. I’ve tried to do this w/personal size-Gillio made a slightly narrower cover (Amica) that almost worked…but this minimal design is singing to my heart! Thx for your comment! I have watched many of your videos! :)
Awe thank you! I appreciate the support. So glad you found these binders! If you decide you want to cut less off the Bible is the same height just wider so you could definitely do this in Bible size and just cut off the bottom of the weeks. But the narrow is so slim and perfect 🤩
LOVED that you took us along for the journey with all the details! Great video!!

Yup! I love TR paper & the Hobonichi Weeks size/layout.

This is awesome!!! I love seeing people do what works for them!!!
Thank you!
I did exactly this with my Bible size Plotter and my Spring start Weeks. I use it as my budget and financial planner.
Do you have a YT channel? (Not that I need another Plotter size…)
thank you for sharing!!!!! this video is GOLD!!!
Fits BEAUTIFULLY ❤❤ I LOVE IT !👍💯
I’m experiencing all kinds of planner joy tonight! :)
This idea is genius!!!! It looks amazing kudos!!
Awwww! Thx! 2024 chopped & in place!
This is brilliant. You are a genius!
I’m sure others have done this, too, but thanks!!!
That was amazingly satisfying! I don't even intend to get a plotter or a weeks!
Thanks-what do you use?

This turned out so awesome, Robyn. Love it!
Omg…I totally forgot to link your video!!!! I’ll add it to my next one!!! Apologies!!!
risk taking and brilliant XD
The Hobonichi pen does fit in the pen loop. I’ve used one in my bible size and narrow size for a couple years now. Great video!
My TWSBI mini fits!!! :)

Hmmm…I’m not sure what pen sleeve you’re talking about…one from CS?

@@rc17268 agree. Even if they made a “sample” sheet you could print off !!
I meant the pen sleeve that is attached to the page lifter.

I meant when cutting to narrow size. You could use the original side where the dates are as the straighter edge to make sure the sides are parallel.
