That would be really cool, but it's actually called a "thunder" of dragons if they're wild, and a "weyr" of dragons if they're all tamed and with riders and stuff
Not that the dragons aren't cool, but I think Tim could describe an electric toothbrush collection and it'd be nearly as engaging. "And here we have this one...and if you look closely it's got these wonderful green bristles. Look at that. Just extrordinry. This one here, when you've finished brushing...it plays a little tune. Remarkable."
The silver ball is referencing the world's first seismograph. It was built in China where there were eight dragon heads in the Cardinal and middle directions each with a metal ball in its mouth. When an earthquake happened the ball would fall out allowing the court to pinpoint the direction of the earthquake.
It's actually far older than that, and is a reference to the Dragon's Pearl, from Chinese folk lore. This stemmed from worship of the sun, which was originally portrayed as red, but eventually as white, and this then became a pearl. In Taoism and Buddhism, the pearl is a symbol of enlightenment. It's likely that the seismographs were designed as dragons BECAUSE of this dragon's pearl tradition.
I remember seeing that in an encyclopedia, it was like some Chinese jar with dragons holding a ball in its mouth with a fishes attached to the pedestal.
5:27 That is indeed a dragon. It is the _"Dragon Walker"_ from _'He-man'._ It is actually the reason I found this channel, when it was on display on a previous occasion some years back. I came looking for it a few years back and found Grand Illusions! 😉 So nostalgic to see _(and HEAR!)_ it in action again. Thank you kindly.
Daniel Renard I had that toy too, was about to say it was a he-man toy, then wasn't sure if i just used to put my he-man figure on it. Did you have a battle-cat toy too with red plastic armour??
Sure did. Panthor too. It was really strange the way Panthor was coated in soft purple material for some reason. Mine had a damaged spot on the leg, showing the red plastic underneath.
The pyro in me needs that last trinket. I would have hours and hours of fun, and probably end up in jail. On second thought, perhaps I don’t need it after all.
It's nice to see an older person on RUclips enjoying it and having the opportunity to tap into something that is usually for the younger generation. I love this guy.

Lycopodium is very fine, it ignites easily. With a modified cigarillo tube it's easy and relatively safe to breath fire (compared to taking petroleum in your mouth for example). Coffee creamer works too, but with the tube we (SO & me) had trouble getting it to work reliable. Same for other powders (custard powder) but it does work to an extend. Much more of a mess though and not as easy to get it right every time. Also less safe, as it drops down, some of it momentarily not ignited, some combusting, some just falling down without ever burning. To save a bit of money we mix Lycopodium with cork powder. Cork works quite well, is very cheap, and ads sparks/glimmer to the flame. Here is a shot where it almost looks like a dragon ;-) blog.pixelgiraffe.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/feuerwirbel.png Note the glimmer falling directly down at the left side. With pure Lycopodium, you don't get that. With coffe creamer, it can be quite scary if it first does not combust, but then you get a flame rising up your shirt. Here's a short GIF of part of the flame "falling down" when using a mix. blog.pixelgiraffe.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/ezgif.com-crop.gif //edit: It may sound silly, but we always bring along a fire blanket and car fire extinguisher. Just as disclaimer - Nothing ever happened, but you definitely want to be prepared. Lyco is not a toy.
