- Young adults and teens from all across the Midwest danced the night away at Serb Fest to the sounds of Delije, DJ Spaz or Nocna Smena. Some pretty impressive dance moves were spotted. Visit St. Sava Church at:

It's also sung by Serbs in Macedonia and Kosovo. I'm the one who led and requested it lol I specifically requested it because a bunch of my Macedonian friends stopped by the Serbfest to join us that evening, and I wanted to do a dance that we could all share
Looks like dancing keeps these kids slim!
This looks so cool and fun.
BRAVO Vi dobro igrate kolo
hvala
Bravo , sjajno !!!!
Bravo za igru !!! :)))))))))
I'm not Serbian, I actually happen to be mixed Romanian, Polish, Slovak, and Ukrainian, awesome music anyway, we're all in the same neighborhood :-)
It is called Gori More. Cheers!
It's called Ravno Oro. I believe it's a recording of Orkestar Sumadija's performance, played by Dj Spaz
true, there's many similarities, both in the fast 4/4 kolo, which is similar to a fast, synchopated dabke, and in the 7/8 oro, which is almost identical to chobi! Chobi tends to include stomping, though, while the oro is more about lifting the legs.
Most of the young dancers are born in the US and learn from their parents. They also do traditional kolos.
Predobro! :)
i'm in this :D
its a macedonian song called stamena
Neither of these pieces are kolos lol. The first one is a Bulgarian rechenitza 7/8 2 2 3 beat. The second one is I think a Bulgarian graovsko. I've played my Balkan flute across the nation, veliki pozdrav iz Baltimore MD
Kind of reminds me of the Middle Eastern dabke dance
merrilville, indiana.
What is the name of the very last song here?
Right after Gori More, you only hear a few seconds

+Alexandra Kondic What does "Gore mori" mean in English? Super-fun music anyway :-)
+Alexandra Kondic Plus, I most definitely meant what I said, so no, for the record, it isn't at all "lip service" in any way on my part. Thank you. I really do happen to love and enjoy the music here.
