If you listen to the comms videos on RUclips, in the last one TaZ literally went „listen to Nikos calls“. And Niko talks A LOT. He is calling a lot. Idk even know what snax does besides the call in the beginning in the round..
While I agree that Liquid's structure has to be better at this point, Yekindar has overstayed his welcome. I've watched every single Liquid game for the past couple years and the eyetest on Yekindar is utterly terrible. Despite what people say to defend him in terms of his secondary calling ability, he gives up an unacceptable amount of opening deaths, he whiffs, gets caught on bad timings, gets exploited nearly every time on banana on inferno and its very depressing to watch as it ruins whatever gameplan Liquid has going into each round. I have a feeling he will get cut after the major. I do think Twistzz will turn against him and Liquid will sign a better entry player.
Prime Faze had really good cohesion too, similar to Navi today if we're talking about international squads. I think the new Faze Frozen hasn't reached that level yet. Otherwise, Astralis and Heroic was on a different level.
i didnt hate snax before, but after seeing all teams literally targeting snax, resulting in someone needs to +1 supporting hence some parts of the map empty, or they could just storm the bombsite and snax will get 0 kills in a bombsite which always the hardest to retake (dust2 b, mirage b,etc), IT JUST PAINS MY HEART.
I might be overlooking something as I only recently ended my hiatus of following competitive CS, but to the point of NaVi having no obvious star player, shouldn’t that be boosting Aleksi into conversations for player of the year? He obviously won’t have the rating to compete with Zywoo or donk but their success feels more down to him than the other top tier IGLs
i have been feeling like people are wrong about navi having issues with bo5s and their real issue is with choking in grand finals in general. their wins are fluking the major(with a landslide momentum decider), beating the new g2(with the 2 won map being stomps) and eternal fire(its eternal fire ffs)

Yeah they don't have a clear #1 contender but it wouldn't be surprising to see 4 Navi players in the hltv top 20 at the end of year
It's funny Maui said he could see any team in the top 6 winning, because from watching the games I get the exact opposite vibe, I can see absolutely anybody losing, you can't even say team X is the best in the world and go a week without them losing a random match for no reason; if everyone is good, no one is good. Pick which you hate the most - mr12, the map pool, pistol rounds, but whichever you pick there's a strong case to make CS2 is just objectively worse than GO right now, so talking about the scene being competitive is a bit of a nothing-burger (you can say it's more exciting, that doesn't make it good).

A possible future I can see in my minds eye: Simple performs well enough for falcons to want to keep him, but not well enough for Navi to want him back, G2 falls apart after Niko leaves, Monesy doesn’t resign and replaces wonderful on Navi. Next era begins. Only problem is Ilya is Russian, but I think his relationship with Bit might get him past this issue.
I’m really surprised that no one (that I know of) does tactical breakdowns of what certain teams are doing why they’re making certain decisions in matches. I feel like most of the time I don’t know why players and team makes certain decisions. Put a like on this comment if you’re looking for the same thing.
