    Thought you only play around with physics, but after seeing this, I see that you have a great talent in education. Keep it up!

    Something else to note-
    Sometimes you're given the radius or diameter of the gears. Because we are using ratios those measurements can also be used in place of number of teeth.

      when the small spins the big the big spins slow and when the big spins the small the small is fast but with less torque, if you make a 1:4 gear ratio it will have 1/4 torque

    Amazing video! Now, please, show us how the gear ratio changes the power. Thanks!

  • @wolfbrave4866
    @wolfbrave4866 2 года назад +3

    This teaches us one thing. The fan in our house is very inefficient it uses the increased voltage to up the rpm when gears ratios can increase the rpm I know when you use gear ratio the motor will be stressed and drain more power but that will need an experiment to see gear ratio vs voltage.

    Don't read more if you want answers!
    Driven gear at start = 157.5rpm
    Ratio = 24/8 or 3
    2nd driven gear = 157.5/3 which is 52.5rpm
    Ratio = 40/8 or 5
    Final drive = 52.5/5 = 10.5

    • @dinhtuan752

      thanks for the answer
      EDIT: the 16/16 is 1:1 so no speed changes from the input gear.

    Dear Dr. Engine and anyone reading i hope all is well. I just want to say that Jesus Christ loves and cares for you. If you haven't done so please accept Him as your savior and Lord. And remember to enjoy and cherish all that is good and right in life for we only get one life and we don't know what tomorrow will bring.
