A couple of thoughts. Personally, I really like the direction of the story. Personally, I don’t think Endfield being set in the future should be considered “spoiling” Arknights. Yes, while we can discern new things about the game as well as know that certain things are guaranteed (i.e. Oripathy not being cured, Rhodes Island’s continued existence), I feel like knowing certain things in the future will give the current Arknights story *even more* tension. Endfield is foreshadowing many things we don’t know yet in the main story, and yet is keeping lots of lore aspects vague enough to leave us wondering *how* exactly certain things will happen. Regarding gameplay, rather than giving the player a climbing system similar to BotW and Genshin, I’d instead for two things. Firstly, a simple method to get over seemingly easily accessible places like the crate shown in the video. This could be in the form of a double jump (contextualized by maybe a drone or gear), or it could function as a “ledge grab” that makes the character automatically stick to the side of an object and play a short cancellable climbing animation. I do think that the gameplay needs work, but I am very surprised that something I believe is a problem isn’t addressed in this video, as every other issue featured seems pretty tame and and inconsequential to me (except for the lack of block/dash, that is pretty terrible). I really REALLY do not like how switching between characters first. Replacing your current model with a different character makes sense in a game like Genshin, but not for Endfield. When all party members are out on the field at the same time, an incredible gameplay mechanic would be switching your perspective to that character by moving the camera over. This might even fix the no blocking or dodging problem if you changed the health mechanic so that your current health bar transfers over to the character you switch to. I really hope the teleport replacing is a temporary implementation while HG irons out the perspective shift. I’d like to talk about Angie’s gameplay and her overpowered-ness compared to the other characters. While I do think that that may be a problem, balancing Angie to be more in-line with the other characters isn’t a good idea in my opinion. I would instead propose to take every other character and buff them so they are at the same level as Angie. Of course, this won’t solve the problem of Angie being incredibly multi-purpose, so HG should definitely listen to player feedback and tweak Angie in order to give her a more specialized niche rather than being good at everything. There is the possibility that everybody’s power level will even out at mid and end game content and Angie happens to just be super useful in early game. We’ll have to wait and see.
Well, that's an interesting way to see it. We know some things will happen, but now how or when, that is a valid point. I was thinking about a grapple hook may also work for ledges, with pullers been a thing in vanilla AK, but I think ZZZ already did something like it, so I doubt it. And I never said Angie needed to be nerfed... I guess I wasn't clear myself, MB. I forgot how every gamer's nightmare is that developers just nerf everyone equally.
I'm not sure how I really feel about the weapons in the Endfield at the moment. In Arknights, most characters have a story about their weapons. For example, some characters use bows instead of crossbows, there are swords with names like Chen or Texas, and there's the significant incorporation of Sankta guns, with very limited use by people outside of their race. All Sankta lore heavily depends on these guns. I don't believe that crafted or gacha weapons will lead to a good realization of guns in the same way it was in Arknights. That's probably why we didn't see (cross)bows/guns characters in the tech test
@@antonastanin7465 But they also give AK its personality, so it's weird we don't see them in the future. Not to mention, it would give combat more variety. I won't deny I am not the biggest fan of pulling for gear, but I would like to have characters with more variated kits besides sword and staff.
Best backseat Blob out there :)

Watching all Endfield content after lore drops of Babel just feels right.
I hope this game will be amazing.
What would you like seen improved in the release?
Personally, I would like more weapon type variety.

The characters are lacking compared to arknights

I rate the game 0(shield) / 10
