From Pakistan but she has been one of my most admired ever since she was a teen and shot to fame. Have always admired her talent, confidence, resilience, courage!
Excellent Interview!! I can so relate especially to the point of mom guilt and people judging you and tagging you money minded just because you choose to work..more power to you Sania we need women like you!! Please keep on spreading more motivation and positivity !! Kudos to HOB team as well
Sania has a commendable record in tennis as a professional doubles player who has won trophies in those tournaments but her singles career has been lacklustre, leaving her far behind other frontline players in Grand Slam events. People only tend to get worldwide recognition for their performances in Singles tournaments and that is seen as a real endurance competition on the world stage. However it’s great and not to be sniffed at, that she has played as a world class doubles tennis player for a long time, out of her love for the sport and not for any recognition.
It feels as if the whole universe was conspiring to make her what she is. At age 6 we did not even know how to dress properly and she was playing tennis wow!! What a woman! She is lovely
I personally don't think it's a PR interview & even if it is, who cares. The divorce, The marriage or the child, doesn't take away the fact that this woman has played Tennis for 30 years of her life (20, professionally) Represented India, won so much! Her divorce has not been spoken about is what bothering people here in comment section? Play one sport for life professionally fighting with the aunty you think about making any decision in your life. Whatever happens in her personal life doesn't take away anything she did for so long for India. I'm not even getting into how tough it is in India to play a sport as a woman, you're body shamed, you are in fact told not to play just because you might get dark skin tone in the sun. It's commendable of what she's done as a player & as a woman. STOP PULLING WOMEN DOWN. HER MARRIAGE, HER DIVORCE, HER TAKING CARE OF HER OWN BIOLOGICAL CHILD IS NON OF YOUR BUSINESS. COMMENT ON HER RETIREMENT, COMMENT ON HER GAME, as a viewer, because this country belongs to you, not her personal choices.
I wish you would invite Mahesh Kale to the podcast. He just finished his US and Europe Concert/Workshop Tour recently... He is putting some serious effort into popularizing Indian Classical Music all over the world.
Sania Mirza's journey is a testament to the power of self-belief and living life on your own terms. A true inspiration for athletes and women breaking barriers everywhere. Don't miss this remarkable episode!😍
True! Humans of Bombay is quickly losing its credibility. This clearly pandered to the interests of the guest. They speak of research while clearly avoiding the grey areas. A good white-wash exercise this is. Nothing more, nothing less.
She is role model for girls but everything she decided went well for her, except the marriage part, nothing against her but that was a poor choice I feel and its okay , nobody is perfect....she still seems content n happy ..thats what matters.
Why people want her to speak about divorce and calling it a PR interview. If she doesn't want to talk about it ,that means doesn't!She has many other things to speak about, she is a sports star. By not speaking about it ,she is respecting shoaib (her child's father) privacy.Nowadays people are so excited to know about private life of celebrities.
Such a skirt-around-the-issue reply to the question on her marriage to Shoaib. Remember, the public ridiculing and shaming of the girl Shoaib was previously married to but claimed to have never met. Sania was so busy revelling in the joy of having found the 'love-of-her-life' that she didn't pay any heed to the ex's words and instead smugly joined in the nasty mud slinging. The dignified ex never stooped to that level but this entire episode changed my opinion on Sania massively. It's ok to be self centred, like she claims she is but when it comes at someone's expense, one needs to contemplate. And if we pay heed to the rumours going around, it seems, karma's not forgotten her address.
What an incredible talent she is!!! Very inspiring, very graceful n wise. Yet has a failed marriage. Just goes to say that love is truly blind. But i am sure that this strong wise lady will come out of it gracefully.....
I think her marriage was successful, those who suffer and carry on marriage like dead animal ..what they did was better. How easy for world to lable soneone failure or looser.
@@savitaraghav4495 I think you got me wrong. I have all the appreciation for her. What I meant is that she chose a wrong partner not that she couldn't manage her marriage well.
@@at-fj4tn that was your opinion, what i see nobody can choose a partner right. People and circumstances do change with time, we are living in time where people date for 10 years , getting divorce in 6 months. We as people only give our best and rest up to God, how things turnout in future.
Not rumored discussions about divorce at all , she can’t bcos she was also a second choice of a husband , that means she broke and intruded first wife’s bhara bhura falta sansar. You rip what you sow … unfortunately she got her returns very soon in her life ,, She only married shoeb , he didn’t beg for her … you get what you ask - even divorce .. people seems mature but in reality they are not , some are fools like her and in fact she is best example of over confidence, now May be she is a house wife bcos she doesn’t want to work outside , again you rip what you sow , hope she shows a good path to her kid.. in her dreams may be she assumed Pakistani Muslims mens are more liberal than Indian men but they have proved it wrong from time to time, Pakistani men are not so she has no way other than moving on and it’s not about choice , no one has given her any choice or option , she couldn’t choose it sensibly when she has an option and choice both , I mean when it was time to choose an husband , but she was blinded by love so now she has no option or choice other than moving on … my dear Sania 😮😮😮

Great PR. A cheap move. A woman doesn't fulfill her responsibility as a wife is an utter shame of a human being. Shoaib seems such a nice man. No wonder Sania is great friends with women like Farah Khan🙏

She is not that typical masala girl .....she is woman of substance, grace and dignity ❤

Totally agree. The outcome of certain choices are not within our control.

Yes true that the ex was so dignified. She let the proofs speak on her behalf.
What karma only hit women ? 🤨😑
Guests also should know how much to answer and when to stop. Monologues are boring .
