The thing is something like pudding cakes, you're going to easily down em all in one setting :)
@@Kevfactor Everything is high calorie if you "down em all in one setting" Anyway, it's not just about calories, it's about what kind of calories. It's much healthier to eat fat calories than sugar calories, and causes alot less weight gain, especially if you're on a very low carbohydrate ketogenic diet. There's many reasons for this, but one reason alone is that your body burns alot of calories just by digesting fats and proteins, so you're netting less calories per calories eaten. By comparison, you burn practically no calories digesting sugars and other simple carbohydrates, so you're gaining almost all the calories when you eat sugars. This recipe is very low carb, so can be eaten without breaking ketosis, and the fat calories are better than if you ate sugar calories. Even if you use a more natural form of sugar like honey or fruit, it's still sugar, and sugars/carbohydrates are the most commonly abused, unhealthy, poisonous drugs of our modern age.

Calories are not what you should be paying attention to if you are trying to lose weight. It isn't calories that put the fat on you. Eat keto.
From the “NO Calorie” coconut tree?😉
Yum, this looks good.
@@IHGChick that's not the point. It SAYS no calories. Why straight up lie about it?
That's more than 3 ingredients too.
@@n.k.7660 So what? Not everyone cooks for vegans. 94% of the world's population is not vegan. For them, the version with cow's milk is perfect.
Actually, quite high in both calories and fat. With a little added honey this would be a good dessert to pare with berries and whipped coconut cream.
I think you're right. One can of unsweetended milk is about 600 calories and he had at least 2 or 3 cans worth. The fresh milk coco milk probably would be that cal count as you reduced the water content too. It does puff up though. The thing is something like pudding cakes, you're going to easily down em all in one setting :)
@@Kevfactor Everything is high calorie if you "down em all in one setting"
Anyway, it's not just about calories, it's about what kind of calories.
@@Death_Lord_Eleressai yes but the title is misleading he said "NO CALORIES"
@@Death_Lord_Eleressai 'It's much healthier to eat fat calories than sugar calories, and causes alot less weight gain, especially if you're on a very low carbohydrate ketogenic diet' not really.
@@nocturnismd1401 Yeah, that much is true, but then it also says low calorie. I think it's more a language barrier/translation issue.
I have a feeling these would be really great with a big gob of whipped cream on top. 🙂
400ml of coconut milk is very high calories, it varies with brand but averages around 300. Good recipe for low carb, but certainly not zero calories as in the title. I can’t recall the amount of cocoa powder but that’s around 400kcal per 100g. Market it as low carb! Can do this with gelatine too though quantities would be different from the agar.
Diabetic friendly is a huge thing. Having our cake and actually being able to eat it... Thanks for this recipe~!

@@theUroshman Que proporção posso usar ?
It's looks very delicious!!!
Am I the only one who thinks this needs a sweetener? Sorry, but I wouldn't like it so well. It is beautiful.
totally. did this recipe yesterday with carob instead coz i knew some sweetener would be necessary with cocoa powder, and still it turned out pretty bland so i end up topping it with date syrup just before to serve, then only it's satisfying. If i do this again i will add coconut sugar directly in the mix i guess. I am not afraid of calories anyway, slim guy here.
*Agar-agar = This is a stabilizing and thickening agent, is a vegetarian gelatin substitute made from seaweed. It is sold as flakes, powder, bars, and strands.
Can we use gelatin instead?
@@aliyahrashid7084 Yes, gelatin will work well. This substitute is for those who want a vegetarian option.
@@Meisha-san can I use corn starch as a substitute for agar?
@@JerronJackson-uo1im Hi, I don't think so. Agar, like gelotine has that resin glue type characteristic. Corn starch would be like rice powder, they're binding agents for different baking situations.
I like experimenting so I'll try out each & see what comes out. I don't mind eating my bad experiments 😅
@@Meisha-san lol 🤣. Cool. Thanks for the information ☺️
It's nice to meet you, friend. That is absolutely delicious!!! I am a big chocolate fan and this looks like an easy and very fun way to create some in a much more healthy manner. Thank you very much for sharing!!! I have this on my favorites list now so that I can make it! I wish you continued success and happiness always.
Would this work with Almond milk? I just don't care for coconut but, the recipe looks good. Also I have some silicon cupcake wrappers (reusable) instead of the muffin pan.
I think he used coconut milk because of the natural fat it contains as a binder
agar is the binder here, any type of milk would do but he used coconut for the natural sweetness, and even then the final result was so bland i ended up topping with date syrup before to serve to make it palatable. a nice recipe otherwise. @@chessicahullum2896

Looks great! Could you blend all the ingredients in a blender first, then boil? Would it still set the same? Also is the agar agar soaked in cold water or hot?
Not really. Unfortunately you will have to dissolve the agar-agar first, because it loves to bind with all kinds of stuff. So simmer the agar agar & water until it's okay, then you really have to put the ingredients in afterwards

I actually made this and wasn’t all that bad.
I even added pumpkin spice to the mixture and tasted grand.
But don’t make the recipe if you don’t like the “slightly harder than jello texture”.

Se ve muy rico! No conocía el Agar Agar, lo probaré!🙂
It has calories, BUT if the coconut milk were switched out for almond milk, it could be called low carb. Definitely good for eating the Keto plan. GREAT dessert……as long as you ditch the coconut milk .
"NO calories!" is clickbait. Coconut milk is very high in calories and saturated fat.
This looks good! Thanks for sharing. What are you adding at 1:53? It looks like applesauce. Is it more agar?

Maybe you meant "No Sugar, Low Carb." Coconut milk is high in calories, so this definitely has calories. Looks yummy.

Как уже написали выше, "This is NOT a NO calorie dessert".

"No calories" is a bit misleading, because there's some 400+ calories in a tin of coconut milk. That said, because there's no added sugar, it's certainly a healthier treat than a lot of other desserts/treats out there, and I will definitely need to try it because it looks amazingly delicious

This is not a calorie-free recipe, but low-calorie. Considering the large amount of cocoa, this would be closer to a bitter-sweet chocolate dessert since coconut milk is not all that sweet. I would have to add some monk fruit sweetener, a perhaps a splash of vanilla to enhance the flavor of this mousse gelatin dessert. Worth trying.
This is similar to the sipping coco I make, except I don't use coconut milk, or Agar. I use 1. cup of coco, use a 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 tbl of Erythritol or Stevia for a sweetener. The coconut milk would add a nice flavor. You can get it low fat a coconut milk. I will use it in hot coffee, or what ever warm milk product you choose. Really good on a cold winters night, not to sweet, not to bitter.
