Finally a beefy & chunky diver from Phoibos🥳 Great design, great quality & of course great price. This is really a bargain for that level of quality & the used materials. I like big watches like that because I can wear them. I see many comments here "Cool watch but if it was smaller..." Phoibos does regular size or compared to Leviathan smaller sizes as usual. Finally a big boy 😄👍🏻💪🏻 Great watch & great video ✌🏻 Thank you for this video & the presentation of all versions👌🏻
Oh my God! These watches are B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L! That white dial is right up my alley. And they really seem to be purposefully built for diving with that large dial and that large strap. Thanks for sharing Marc. I know, like 99% of the people buying these watches, I won’t be using this for diving but man-oh-man are they irresistible.
That is a very good watch. As someone who dives, unlike many dive watches except Seiko Prospex and a few others, this Phoibis is a true divers watch. It has a big rubber strap that will fit over my wetsuit, it has a secure bezel that won't move accidentally, and then there's the water resistance and HEV. Size is great for my 8" wrist and if someone has slim wrists but is a diver, this watch will not be too big over a wetsuit. Thought I would never go deep enough for saturation diving, the HEV is a great plus. This watch was definitely made with scuba divers in mind. This is no desk diver! It breaks the microbrand mold of making fashion divers. If you buy this think about learning to dive! Might as well use it for the purpose it's meant for!🤿🤿
I bought my first Phoibos from Long Island Watch. The blue Wave Master. Awesome watch. I was able to track down a Reef Master after they were all but sold out everywhere. Got the DLC version , another beauty. I think this release is one of their nicest. The white is my favorite.
From your blog I purchased the white faced DLC.great watch, but the strap is a big to pull through the loops and stiff, so swapped it for a black silicone greko strap.smooth as silk..
Yesterday I received the PY032E (white dial DLC). Awesome watch for the money! It's my first Phoibos, first mechanical, first automatic, and first DLC watch. Perfect bezel alignment, very good lume (best I've had to be honest), and it fits great on my 20cm wrist. I love the fancy-cut crystal and overall I think it's a beautiful beast. I'm happy with my choice but I still think the steel versions look great (except the green, I agree with you there). I'd buy another Phoibos for sure (but not for awhile!).
Marc, thanks for the great videos, especially this one. The DLC/White dial really clicked with me, so I snagged one! I put it on a matching MiLTAT Hexad bracelet and it looks phenomenal!
Great looking watch. Nearly pressed buy, but the NH35 stopped me. I’ve had 3 out of 3 Seikos die on me just out of warranty. Seiko says bad luck. I’ll never wear a Seiko movement on my wrist again.
My wrist size is about 20cm and I still wonder if it's a little too chonky for me. I've generally preferred bare stainless steel but I also find myself drawn to the DLC coated versions here. The grey dial doesn't "pop" the same way as the white but it's so well executed & a more understated look. It's a tossup! I'm also going to check out some of your "Islander" watches. As much as it _is_ fun to buy watches I also need to keep the size of my collection under control & be methodical. Thanks for the video!
Might have to jump on one of those. I have trouble you may relate to though; I can’t decide between the blue or one of the PVD versions! They are definitely brutes though! Thanks Marc!
Those Leviathans look terribly cool, but size…? I have slightly thicker wrists than yours, but I can't rock those at all; much more at-home with an Eagle Ray (are you ever getting the Miyota-equipped ER back in stock?). And: *love* that 6139. Had mine (6139-7140) redone by Seiko here in NJ last year. Besides the history behind it, it's just plain cool, and as close to a Seiko mech chrono as I'm likely to get.
Huge Phoibos watch fan. These are stunning!! Disappointed in name choice of this specific model. Glad it isn't on the watch itself. Finally a watch and strap that will fit my wrist!
I like the one with the green background. I wonder, though, with the lume being so narrow on the hands (seems a bit out of proportion to the bezel lume), how soon does the glow go away?
Really like this watch, but the 15.5mm thickness (height) is holding me back. I can go up to a 47mm watch on my wrist, but that “tall” of a watch has me thinking it will stick up/out way too much.
Very cool watch! Since my wrist is close to your size, I will be content with my Proteus (for now)! Take a look at Borealis Watch! Imthink they would be a great add for your catalog!😍
Love the 6139 Marc, I was wearing mine yesterday, such cool old watches. You can get new H link bracelets for these from Uncle Seiko if you find the original too loose & rattlely!
Suggestion: hope you'll change your watch dial logo to "Long Island" (in a classic font) ur original logo can keep in crown though. It will give ur watches a more artistic look. Sure sales will boosts more. Thanks me later
Little bit too big… I like to watch… I’d like it more in a 42. 7 1/2 inch wrist and I still find anything above a 44 to big…Personal preference of course. Thanks Mark!
as a brand I love Phiobos, I have a blue Wavemaster and a blue Eagle Ray, both are excellent fit and quality. The leviathan looks great but is probably too large for my wrists
55 minute video, Marc you can make a 55 hour video and still keep my attention. I don't see how people can't like that logo? That case back cover looks amazing. It looks a little like Cthulhu.
Phoibos know what they are doing. I like all their designs.
Ditto
This is one of the best looking watches ever!

Thanks for commenting
Maybe you should make your “ State Of The Collection " a Mini Series Marc 😏
I'd rather just be done with it!
@@islandwatch A 55 minute video is fine!
@@islandwatch Make it a long one then. Don't rush it. Personally, I'd rather see them in a series of twenty minute videos. One minute for each watch.
Oh my God! These watches are B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!

Thanks for sharing Marc. I know, like 99% of the people buying these watches, I won’t be using this for diving but man-oh-man are they irresistible.
I think you are right. The DLC's are where it's at. Very nicely done!
Thanks.

A 500m diver for $300 is bonkers... This brand doesn't get enough respect.
Yup
I bought my first Phoibos from Long Island Watch. The blue Wave Master. Awesome watch. I was able to track down a Reef Master after they were all but sold out everywhere. Got the DLC version , another beauty. I think this release is one of their nicest. The white is my favorite.
Wow, thank you
hey question, if you'd compare this to a Seiko Prospex Turtle (both 45mm) which one is / looks bigger on wrist or are they quite similar?
From your blog I purchased the white faced DLC.great watch, but the strap is a big to pull through the loops and stiff, so swapped it for a black silicone greko strap.smooth as silk..
Hi Mark! Can you make it possible to order one from an APO? Thank you!
The blue looked amazing, much like the blue Pelagos.
Why this blue colour I see at the sphere corners? The watch looks amazing overall
Love this watch. Do you offer a bracelet that would fit this large watch? If so, which bracelet should I order?

Beautiful model! Please In your opinion, is too big to wrist of 17cm??
DLC properly applied is an insanely tough finish. It can even stand up to repeated abrasion with steel. It has really surprised me in recent years.
I wish it was smaller. My favorite is the white dial.
Thanks for watching.
Great looking watch. Nearly pressed buy, but the NH35 stopped me. I’ve had 3 out of 3 Seikos die on me just out of warranty. Seiko says bad luck. I’ll never wear a Seiko movement on my wrist again.
Mark, I want at least 55 min of your collection. PLEASE!
SOTC MINI SERIES-YES!!!! Just like your collaboration with TGV Top 10s. Chronos, divers, dress. . . Can't wait!
:)
I got the limited edition bronze one with the open heart(which everybody seems to hate)
I love it gives it a steampunk look. But it is heavy!
Cool!
Very nice! The DLC /gray dial is awesome looking. Thanks for sharing them Marc and have a great day! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks! You too!
Islander is better?)
These are cool, but do they come in a 65mm dial?
LOL. I have an Aristo like that.
Mark, where did you get the 6139 serviced? I'm trying to get my grandfather's all original Pogue serviced but can't find anyone willing to do Seikos.
email me
Where is it made???
So nicely designed...but so big !
I would totally easily watch a 1 or 2 hour long SOTC from you Marc!
Two hours would be pushing it for me, but one hour would be fine. (Hey, his vids with TGV go over the hour mark, and are anything but boring.)
My wrist size is about 20cm and I still wonder if it's a little too chonky for me. I've generally preferred bare stainless steel but I also find myself drawn to the DLC coated versions here. Everything but the size is great! I’m one of the logo fans as well…..hard to hate on 🐙
Thanks!
Might have to jump on one of those. I have trouble you may relate to though; I can’t decide between the blue or one of the PVD versions! They are definitely brutes though! Thanks Marc!
Lol. I can relate , indeed.
Phoibos. Top stuff. Second watch I bought was the bronze Leviathan. Love it. Fits great, but then I have a larger wrist. Nice review, thanks.
An absolute stunner! But, yeah - just a bit large. If they release a smaller version I'll jump on that White Dial DLC!
Beauty!
White dial in DLC!
Awesome!
Liking the grey. Very tempted.
Thanks
Really great looking watch but I wish there was a way to upgrade to an SW-200 from the NH35.
Ordered one. Can't wait
Thank you!
I ordered the white dialed Leviathan yesterday. I sport an 8.75" wrist. I think it will be a good fit for me.
Agreed
Great watches. Planning on buying some.
Love Phoibos just bought an Eagle Ray 300 m Green to ad to my collection of 6 others haha
Awesome watch, I think I’d go for the steel with black dial. Just too big though I’m 6.25 so no way Jose. I hope they make a smaller version.
Those Leviathans look terribly cool, but size…? I have slightly thicker wrists than yours, but I can't rock those at all; much more at-home with an Eagle Ray (are you ever getting the Miyota-equipped ER back in stock?).

I love me some DLC. Is there a DLC bracelet available for these?
Very nice, has a lot going for it, i like the size. ..not a fan of the intermittent teeth on bezel, but overall i like the watch
Love the DLC coated. Absolutely love the white dial. Great video Marc, keep up the great work.
Thank you.
That DLC with the charcoal dial is such a good looking watch.
It sure is.
Really like this watch, but the 15.5mm thickness (height) is holding me back. I can go up to a 47mm watch on my wrist, but that “tall” of a watch has me thinking it will stick up/out way too much.
Blue almost reminds me of the Pelagos. Oh, you just mentioned Tudor as I was typing this lol.
My Phoibos PY007 is still my absolute favorite piece even after two years.
I get that!
Very cool watch! Since my wrist is close to your size, I will be content with my Proteus (for now)! Take a look at Borealis Watch! Imthink they would be a great add for your catalog!😍
Okay, thank you.
I'd get the white one if the size was more reasonable...just way too big for my 6.5" wrist. Happy with my Phoibos Oceanmaster though.
I would totally watch your 1 hour SOTC
Is it just me or does that blue dial version give off some Tudor Pelagos vibes??
What’s the price of the Bug Marc!
Free now!
Love the 6139 Marc, I was wearing mine yesterday, such cool old watches. You can get new H link bracelets for these from Uncle Seiko if you find the original too loose & rattlely!
I'm digging the original feel
@@islandwatch Cool, glad you're enjoying it!
I can hear that bug buzzing 😅, I like the white dial though 👌🏼
Hour long video would be great!
How about multiple videos for SOTC? One per theme (divers, weird watches, etc.) is a solution some used.
Yeah, I get that, but I'd rather just do it.
I need that dlc one! Looks awesome
Ya I’m a fool for black divers not so crazy about the strap but I’d change it eventually
2:00 Seiko’s first chrono? They had one for the Tokyo Olympics in the 1960s, didn’t they?
Suggestion: hope you'll change your watch dial logo to "Long Island" (in a classic font) ur original logo can keep in crown though. It will give ur watches a more artistic look. Sure sales will boosts more. Thanks me later
Yes. It would look great on my 8" wrist! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
If it's 40mm or less case, I'll surely buy one! ( Maybe 2 if I like it ) Cheers!
Little bit too big… I like to watch… I’d like it more in a 42. 7 1/2 inch wrist and I still find anything above a 44 to big…Personal preference of course. Thanks Mark!
Great vid. Lovely mega watches. Cheers 🏴👍
I would buy one of these before spending $1000+ for the Orient saturation diver.
Nice job Phoibos (you to Mark) 👍
Thank you
The DLC remind me of the Damasko's. Great looking watches
Finally!!!!!! A deeeeeeep thick affordable diver Let's goooooo
Jump in!
I love the grey and white. I want them both
For sure!
Best for me are the grey and the white.
How about just highlighting changes to your collection over the last year or two (both bought and sold changes)?
as a brand I love Phiobos, I have a blue Wavemaster and a blue Eagle Ray, both are excellent fit and quality. The leviathan looks great but is probably too large for my wrists
I hear that
55 minute video, Marc you can make a 55 hour video and still keep my attention. I don't see how people can't like that logo? That case back cover looks amazing. It looks a little like Cthulhu.
Man, I like them especially that black one but i would off like more lume on the hands!
That grey dial looks great. Wish it wasn't so big, I have pretty small wrists
Very sharp! To bad they built it for giants.
LOL, true.
... but they have yet to do a day-date! I might be wrong, but they haven't done a hi-beat, either.
They have 9015 divers.
You’ve forgotten the penguin footprints on the monster white dial ! 😏😅
It would be a cool design to see in bronze
We need DLC islanders ! Considering sending out my hi beat islander for a DLC coating 😉
I think there's two? An SKX and one of the Pilots?
Getting all so close to Helm styling why am I not surprised these are sold out.
Nice one placing order in 5, 4, 3, 2.....
Yeah! Thank you
Love the green model. But I would have to put a steel bracelet on it. I'll have to inquire with them if they make one to fit this model.
Man Oh Man those dlc's ROCK
Maybe you can do multiple videos for the state of the collection. Can even space them out for yourself so you don’t have too much at once.
I'd rather do it once and done.
Raise your hand if you want Marc to do a 55min video
Pho ibis is my next watch. I had to get my Islander first.
Nothing wrong there.
That's a mighty fine 🐙
Love the blue one as looking for a cheaper option to the fantastic blue Pelagos. Pity they made it Invicta sized.
Lol. Good way to put it
DLC Islanders next?
How about a series of SOTC videos?
I'd rather just get it over with.
Like yourself I'm not usually a DLC fan but both of those variants look great! It's a shame they're enormous!😉
Just can't get past that octopi logo....maybe one day I can own a non octopi one.
I wish they made smaller sizes. I wanted a nymph but they are rare as hens teeth
Sure are.
Sweet watches…but what happened to the Bug? 🪳
RIP
