With the recent opening of Sonmarg to tourists, we were among the lucky few to experience its pristine beauty and untouched landscapes.
As we ventured into Sonmarg, we were greeted by a mesmerizing winter landscape blanketed in pure, glistening snow. The entire region was a magical sight to behold, with snow-capped mountains, frozen lakes, and snow-laden trees that created a postcard-perfect scenery at every turn.
Our overnight stay in Sonmarg allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the serene ambiance and capture the essence of this winter paradise. We found ourselves surrounded by nature's marvels, from the frozen streams to the untouched trails waiting to be explored.
One of the highlights of our trip was witnessing the breathtaking sunset over the snow-capped peaks. The colors painted across the sky, reflecting on the pure white canvas below, created a surreal and awe-inspiring spectacle that left us in utter amazement.

Hi, not exactly. This is on the way to Thajiwas glacier, Thajiwas wasn't open at the time I had gone. But it will be opened by now

@@MAHESHK-w4l when you start your climb in front of hotel sonmarg glacier towards thajiwas glacier. It's somewhere in the middle. But there won't be snow now

Thanks for your comment. You should carry one set of thermals, 1 rain coat and 2 jackets, woollen cap & gloves. As the weather is very unpredictable there, it can rain any day & evenings & nights are quite cold all over the year.

Thanks. If you want to see snow & not going to areas like Chandanwari, Gulmarg - you can go to Sonmarg to see snow. If you are going to these places, you can skip. As doodhpathri is really unique, but don't expect snow there. It's an amazing peaceful offbeat place & very close to Srinagar. Ping me if you need more info.

Hum log kal ja rahe hai toh please batao gari kar k zero point jayenge toh , uha se kuch nhi karna padega kya yah gari wala jaha utar dega uaha baraf mil jayega ?aur price kya hai 4 adults..
Yes, zero point p hmesha snow milti hai. Isiliye zero point bolte h use, zozila k pas highest point hai ye. I think 5-6K lete h per vehicle, depends on which vehicle you choose. Aap thajiwas glacier bhi ja skte h sonmarg m, vha p bhi snow rhta h

@@VERSATILE-DEBA kuch snow activities hai like sledging, snow bike, skiing also. Rasta bhut sundar hai. And overall nazare aundar hai, 3-4 hrs spend kar skte h vha. 4-5K max dena chahiye taxi ka
