Having the table block the counter did not seem worth it at all. Every level they kept mentioning the counter space but weren't adding more to the pickup/pass through bit. So many times where they had stuff to pass through to each other but couldn't

Some better furniture placement would have made the world of difference here: If there wasn't a table in the corner you could access all the benches. Plates go straight into the sink to auto wash.
That soaking sink was not great... it was just an extra thing to think about - always an "oh I need to get back to the sink to empty it out". And when Lewis forgot to get back to it, he'd show up with a dirty plate and have nowhere to put it.

my only gripe is how the order timer can sometimes block the thing they want
I'm surprised that made it to the released game.
If it was slightly less obnoxious you could claim it as a feature of them not being clear with the order
it seems to only occur with the tables shoved at the top of the restaurant. Maybe the devs can just zoom out the camera?

seems like it'd be more worthwhile to put counters on the inside of the window and keep plenty of distance to the tables.
