Dear brothers, After viewing this video, I thought of sharing my experience with Islamic university of Madina, eventhough I have not studied there. I got admission to my medical course(MBBS) way back in the year 1977. But I had no means to meet my expenses there, as I was hailing from a very poor family. But by Allah's grace, in the same year, my elder brother got admission to the Islamic university of Madina, and from a share of the stipend he received from there, I could go through all the five years of my medical course. Today I am a Radiologist and my brother is no more. Now in my 60s, I am myself a thalibul ilm in a humble way and I am trying to study all the usools and Quraan. After 40 years, I am recapturing all these, when I heard the sheikh hafidahullah, narrating how the students supported their families back home with their stipend. May Allah shower his mercy on all of us and unite us in his jannathul firdouse.
I graduated from Shareeah in 2002, i returned in 2009 with my wife for Hajj, it was so sad, all the students I knew were long gone, the only ones to recognise me were the walls and buildings. I did meet one of my Arabic teachers and he did share some nice advice. 20 years ago now, i do question it sometimes, did I just dream this blessing up in my mind, but no, what I learned from there is with me al hamdu lillaah, truley the most valuable treasure ever known to mankind, the inheritance of the Prophets, Islamic knowledge. I do remember Sheikh Ahsan, as a young 17 year old student, today he has blossomed into a scholar, Mashaa Allaah.
I started mesmerising the quran in Arabic and English yesterday so everyone please make dua for me and the whole ummah May Allah make all the muslims in this dunya to memorise the Quran for the correct intention Ameen
They are not doing this at the moment, however Umm-Al-Qura University is doing the same 2 year course that they do in Madinah for women too in a separate campus. My teacher has told me that the Arabic Language program is very beneficial, however one of the main requirements is that you need a Mahram. What the Qirat progams and courses at the Madina University? What about other universities in Mecca or Madina having the Qirat courses? Please share details if you know. Thanks.
