I always think about how when I pass away, all my cherished items are going to be tossed into a dumpster or given to charity or some tool vendor will made a bid on my stuff and it’ll get roughly tossed around in a box and banged up and sold for a buck or two by someone else who will haggle for it. Meanwhile, when we are alive and looking lovingly at it and rubbing it in our hands, imagining all about the previous owner, this new owner will just be using it as a hammer
