My great Uncle Arvid Erickson. Emil Skoglund and Arvid Erickson were two Michigan conservation officers who were tragically killed on September 29, 1926. They were shot while attempting to arrest a man for spotlighting deer near Gwinn, Michigan. The suspect, after committing the crime, placed their bodies in the officers’ vehicle and submerged it in a lake. The man responsible was later arrested, convicted of murdering both officers, and sentenced to life in prison. He passed away in prison 22 years later.

@Michigan DNR I won’t a officer to make sure my namers Denis and k don’t feed the bears up on Drummond island because they don’t what they are doing me and my dad saw one of your officers on Drummond Island make sure the Indians say a way from the Great Lakes and they need to go to jail what they are doing to the Great Lakes fishery can you have two of your officers on Lake Huron Drummond Island to make sure if do not do this to the Great Lake fishery this year
