I am a proper Hindi medium student throughout my school, college and compitition studies, I am quit good in studies, recently I cleared ssc cgl 2021 examination, and finally selected as excise inspector in chennai.I got my job through a exam in which 50% seccess depends on English, but now I live in Chennai since one month,I am a Rajasthani, and I feel myself in the same situation, everyone in my office talk in English, I can understand English but I feel really uncomfortable while explaining myself in English, but I am trying and I know that one day I will speak English confidentially 😊
Your journey is much similar to mine, small town English medium school where the only English was the yes books, self talk, and now I train foreigners on my company’s products. Friends is my wife’s healer.
I am also a working professional. I always find an opportunity in hindi medium but now i am struggling with the english language bechare i want to improve it but getting good results
English is not a skill it's just a language. It's best example is PM Modiji. He's not good at english still world's most powerful leader and getting respect from English spoken countries. So your work is enough for getting respect and power

English is a language to interpret information not a Skill…we can not take it as status level…however it was a trend from long time…but by promoting local languages we can overcome to this… even in US where I am from last 7-8 years, English is considered as a Language itself. In India, this grudge of knowledge is a good source of income and business for the English experts as it is a low effort job for them. These people take advantage to such situations. Remember… never make it a symbol status… be proud of what you speak well 👍👍
