This sounds great for family outings and the like. we don’t have any camera (apart from our phones) - and looking into getting something for the classic home movies. Would you recommend this one for all purpose (set up in the corner to record Xmas morning AND family outings), or more of a typical camcorder for “family videos” at home?
So this one has some great features that make it great for filming family. If I was to recommend one camera though I'd go with the DJI Pocket 3. A little more pricy but I think its a more well rounded camera (I've got other videos on this camera). The big concern I have with the GO 3s is the record/run time, so for things like recording Christmas morning you may struggle to get it all unless you use the interval filming mode!
Thanks for the video I have OP3 and I'm considering OA4 and your new insta360 go 3s. My use case is really similar than yours, so very interested which one you pick more:OA4 and Go3s. My clips are really short typically
I find myself using the Go3s more right now. Sure the quality is a little less but its really not noticeable to most people and for what I'm using it for (filming family) I don't care. I just like the small form factor of it and the POV view.
I think action cameras are missing the mark in terms of marketing and you have nailed it here. My family bought me a GoPro hero 12 for my birthday earlier this year and I don’t use it for action (not my thing). Instead, I use it to film family outings and picnics and things like that and it’s perfect. Just throw it in the bag and not worry about it and just pull out and grab some great footage of me and my love ones. I’m actually thinking of picking up a second action camera and this might be the one, I’m kind of torn between this and the ace pro because the only thing I don’t love about the GoPro is that it looks amazing in good light but when the light starts to fall, it looks awful. How is this camera in low light and indoors? PS: I’m also considering the Osmo pocket 3, the low light on that looks like it’s amazing.
Thank you! I really appreciate that. Yeah the low light on the go3s is about what you’d expect for a sensor that size. Your gonna get best result outdoors or in good lighting. The pocket 3 definitely does best it in low light
@@BPhilly56 honestly hard question! If I could only have one I’d probably still pick the pocket 3. I love the gimbal and the ease of use with that. But I keep both in my backpack and will use them for different things.

Thanks for replying! Just getting into video and appreciate your content!
I have the original go3 and I love it. I use most than my osmo pocket 3. Soon ll'l upgrade to this 3s.
It will be interesting to see what I use more, the Go3s or the Pocket 3!
@@filming_fatherhood Pocket 3 has amazing video quality, but fun of use and versatility will make you use the Go3 more, trust me.

If you had to choose just one, between this and the Pocket 3, which are you choosing?

This just looks like something my toddlers would take apart and lose the pieces 🙈
@@bankomeister11 haha true! Probably why they added Apple Find My to it 😂
