State of Dogs 1998

In Ulan Bator, Mongolia, the cur Baatar is shot by a hunter hired by the authorities to get rid off the dogs in the city. Its soul recalls its life, when it was a shepherd dog of a family and was abandoned in the field and walked to the city. Then it recalls when it meets a young woman that is near to have a baby. (some scenes may be offensive to sensitive viewers, discretion advised)

This film basically relies on narration to relate its mythology, an interesting one. The filmmakers shot random landscape footage and managed to cut it together into something that felt artistic enough. Sometimes it doesn't fit the narration but fits the vibe. This is a good example of how a low budget movie could have a mysterious feel with just narration and random footage.
