Interesting speaker but what advantage does buying two of these have over buying an echo flex and an edifier 1280t or 1280DB which is roughly half the price
Looking forward to getting my "auction " home speaker which I won to use with my Dementia Charity. Music is the great leveller for this disease. Cheers Stu
I think the reason why your 1280DB video is your most popular is due to that fact that in a sea of "i've been paid to say this speaker is amazing, so I'll say it's amazing" videos, you gave a honest review pointing out both the positives and negatives. Also the format showed what looked like geniune first reactions. As feedback, this video feels a little closer to the rest of the videos in the first category. You might genuinely agree with everything you have said but in my experience, there is no such thing as a flawless setup and a product with no downside, especially where bluetooth or wireless comes into it, making this video feel a little more paid-for to be as genuine as your previous one.
The 1280db had far more to talk negatively about. Even the build quality wasn’t as good - I remember those had some of the glue frothing out of the joins in the case. These ones were far better quality, sound was great and performed really well across the board. I always talk about the positives and negatives, and naturally some products will result in more positive videos (and others much much more negative).
Hi Stu. Enjoyable and honest review. I'm in a quandry as I enjoy classical music as well . No reviews i have seen comment on the classical sound. What do you think or could you recommend any other speakers without a microphone with Bluetooth facility and sterio pairing? Could I link a 2nd pair of these MS50A speakers?
I love my pair of old Yamaha souncast wx010, but their wifi sucks and allways disconnect. With lan cables they are way better then Sonos overpriced shit, but now you gave me one more reason to check Edifier, even though I now lack rooms to musicfy ! :)
Hello, Thanks for reviewing this pair. 6:35 - Does speaker works with Bluetooth when they are stereo pairs? I want to use it at living room tv and only option is Bluetooth connectivity. I gave up sonos for that reason. Thank you.
Interesting how you mention about the effects of the dynamic range. Quite often I find myself enjoying music in movie more than the original CD or MP3. I'm sure the audio engineers make the most of the dynamic range available when mixing in Dolby/DTS. C'mon engineers, give back our Dynamic range!
hi nice job on reviews love it... can you help me between this edifier ms50A (single speaker) and the amazon echo studio. in terms of sound quality, and thinking that edifier dont have micro so you can give orders
Ok Stu, you’ve put me in a quandry, I don’t buy tech unless you give it the nod. I use an Amazon Firestick, which currently plays sound through my Echo studio. But of course it’s not stereo, I was thinking of buying another Studio at 350$au but for the same price I can buy a pair of these wee beauties… what to do, what to do?
One of my favorite tech reviewers! 👍 We should be called the Stu Crew. 😊
I'd thought about using it... doesn't sound as elite as i would like... Maybe something like the 'prestige club' or something... hmm🤔
This review was so good. I bought a second one, and don’t even have the first one yet HAHAHA
Great, do now the same. :)
Edifier gets great sound using dsp. I have the 1280s in my bedroom on stands and sound is great.
Danke!
No - thank you sir! 💚

New subscriber here. Question is would you recommend this over purchasing a echo studio?

How does this compare to the Bose Portable Home speaker, in one speaker configuration?

Hi, just buy the 1280dbs they got Bluetooth and it's stereo too

Would these pair in stereo with a smart TV? Wired or wireless connection?
I was wondering, do modern speakers still need burn-in? Have you noticed any difference in your various speakers? Cheers for the great reviews!

Sonos 1 VS this one ? Both are the same price . OR the smart one from IKEA bult by Sonos.
All are in the same price .

Hey Stu! Great review!
I just had a few questions.
Can they be connected to a TV? Working as stereo?
And are you able to also use Google assistant?
I see Chucky's knife is back... Hold me, I'm scared...
It’s not back for long! 🔪
@@StusReviewsUK If you are planning to get rid of it, don't bury it...
Have you seen "Pet Cemetery"..?
I haven’t! Stephen king right?
@@StusReviewsUK Yup, effin terrifying. And sorry this has got bugger all to do with the speakers, but ask my boss, I love tangents and rabbit holes
Enjoying the one I bought……now pondering a second…hmmm
