I agree. This is still my favorite Dimash video. Also my favorite song. You need to check out even the fan cams of his concert that just passed in September of this song. The performance was amazing. How he can sing so well while performing is amazing in itself.
Dimash is religious, just not Christian. He is Muslim. But he respects all people and religions. The director is Alan Badoev, A Ukrainian director, and this was filmed in the Ukraine and Spain. They also filmed another song Know (Znai), I believe that was in Iceland. Love of Tired Swans was originally sung by Lara Fabian and is composed by Igor Krutoy ( Stranger, Olympico, Your Love)

There is even much more to discover than what you already did. 😉 But I don't agree with you that The Story of One Sky is on such a lower level (in terms of cinematography as you mentioned) than this one, you shouldn't ever compare two completely different things/songs with completely different intentions and stories. Both stand for themselves and express exactly (also visually) what they were meant to. If you LIKE this one better, because e. g. of the use of the light in the quick cuts and you love to detect that, then it's okay, it's your taste. ❤️

It is my understanding that when Igor first started working with Dimash, he opened his catalog and this is the first one Dimash selected. Dimash's videos are always cinematic. It is my understanding that this was shot in Spain. There was a reference in another reaction that Dimash's partner is the only one with gold in her costume representing the Spanish flag. It is my understanding that this storyline comes from a folk tale about angels loosing a wing, but they realize they can still fly with the help of their partner. In this story, the swans (angels) lived in peace. They are attacked by evil and they don't know how to fight this level of malevolence. Yes, there is a concert version in Moscow. He is Muslim, but loves people of all religions (hence, Story of One Sky). Igor, who came out of retirement to work with Dimash, is Jewish.

My take is that it's based upon the Biblical story of creation and the reference to Adam when he "knew" Eve. Very passionate. Okey is quite intriguing with a different feel, also shot brilliantly with regard to the way it is filmed. It's an amazing tangled web, brought to "conclusion", in about 3 minutes. (..or a little more or less- I don't remember the exact length.) You'd greatly enjoy them both. 😊

Love you geeking out to Dimash’s music videos! Have you seen Qairan Elim? Truly an amazing video as well. I am going to comment about swans… they mate for life - very loyal, but very aggressive! My eldest daughter was kayaking in Gdańsk over the summer and had to go back when a swan was chasing her aggressively. They are big and mean! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
The video was filmed on location in Spain by Alan Badoev who i believe is Ukrainian. He's the same director who filmed Dimash's MV Know which was filmed in Iceland. The play on light is used to exceptional effect in the MV for Okay which is a much more low key song but the video is stunning. Fun fact - when the wings were made the costumier didn't realise how tall Dimash was and when they arrived on set, his wings had to be remade as they were so out of proportion for his height. I believe the mv is based around a legend of one winged angels who can only fly when they find their soulmate. Yes Dimash is Muslim but they also believe in angels and Jesus, the only difference being that they believe Jesus to be a mortal prophet, not literally the son of god.
You should watch the MV for "Know" which is also another fabulous song and gorgeous MV. It was shot on location in Iceland with that unique and eerie black sand beach and landscapes. This MV "Love of Tired Swans" was shot on location in Spain. "The Story of One Sky" was shot on location in St. Petersburg (war scenes), (I believe) Kalingrad for the beach scenes and Kazakstan for the mountain scenes.

You should see the Video for Know if you like this one, it is even better in my opinion and should be seen. All of his videos are top notch and most people have not had the pleasure to experience all of them. Swans mate for life that is what the swans represent.
As mentioned by a lot below, the director also filmed Know: this video is mind-blowing, like the song (my absolute favorite one). The lights, the landscapes, the dancers are breathtaking, the story is heartbreaking and Dimash's voice is... Dimash's voice.... If I am not mistaken Dimash was the director of his MV "Qairan Elim" a gorgeous kazakh song (again, the light has its own role in the film). I strongly recommend you to react to both, you won't be disappointed!

Apparently, it was based on some European legend about swans, but definitely there is the element of the fight between good and evil, devils against angels. (By the way, Dimash is Muslim, and Islam also has the story of the Creation, as well as the belief in angels and jinns). There’s also a hint to the creation of man, or here, the creation of these “swans”. The ending signifies the triumph of unity (each one using one wing ) and love. The music was composed by Igor Krutoy. In fact this is an old hit that he refurbished to fit Dimash’s voice. There is a second Dimash MV by the same director of another Krutoy song: Know. This story is supposed to signify love, loyalty and the fact that if you work together you can achieve what you want 💞💞💞 I also read somewhere that this was about global warming causing extreme weather, rising temperatures, etc and, thereby, destroying ecosystems and effecting all life on earth❗ There're probably many other interpretations. The nature of true art is that different people may "see" different things in it based on their lens of life experiences. I feel that Dimash is an artist who, through his music and artistry, brings out different emotions in people based on their life experiences. That's one of the reason we love him so much❣❣❣

The video was filmed on location in Spain by Alan Badoev who i believe is Ukrainian. He's the same director who filmed Dimash's MV Know which was filmed in Iceland.
The play on light is used to exceptional effect in the MV for Okay which is a much more low key song but the video is stunning.
Fun fact - when the wings were made the costumier didn't realise how tall Dimash was and when they arrived on set, his wings had to be remade as they were so out of proportion for his height.
I believe the mv is based around a legend of one winged angels who can only fly when they find their soulmate.
Yes Dimash is Muslim but they also believe in angels and Jesus, the only difference being that they believe Jesus to be a mortal prophet, not literally the son of god.

You should watch the MV for "Know" which is also another fabulous song and gorgeous MV. It was shot on location in Iceland with that unique and eerie black sand beach and landscapes. This MV "Love of Tired Swans" was shot on location in Spain. "The Story of One Sky" was shot on location in St. Petersburg (war scenes), (I believe) Kalingrad for the beach scenes and Kazakstan for the mountain scenes.

You should see the Video for Know if you like this one, it is even better in my opinion and should be seen. All of his videos are top notch and most people have not had the pleasure to experience all of them. Swans mate for life that is what the swans represent.

👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥💕💕💕 Oh I’m so glad you loved it!!! It has been my favorite for a long time! The director is Alan Badoev, a well-known Ukrainian filmmaker. This MV was filmed in Spain. Apparently, it was based on some European legend about swans, but definitely there is the element of the fight between good and evil, devils against angels. (By the way, Dimash is Muslim, and Islam also has the story of the Creation, as well as the belief in angels and jinns). There’s also a hint to the creation of man, or here, the creation of these “swans”. The ending signifies the triumph of unity (each one using one wing ) and love.
The music was composed by Igor Krutoy. In fact this is an old hit that he refurbished to fit Dimash’s voice.
There is a second Dimash MV by the same director of another Krutoy song: Know. I’m really curious to hear your comments in it.

Once upon a time there was a little angel in heaven who accompanied people with such closeness and tenderness that he felt the irresistible desire not only to hover over the earth with his wings and protect people, but he wanted to be on their streets himself go, become one of them.
One day he saw on the ground a poppy flower that had just blossomed. It seemed to the little angel that he had never felt such a beautiful red in heaven and his longing to belong on earth grew.

For a long time one could see the light of heaven around the child. But as life goes, it defiles even the purest and brightest lights. All the many influences, the hardship and the struggle did the rest.
Soon no one saw that man carried a heavenly light within himself.
The invisible wing made itself felt here and there, but what was perceived by the child as a dreamy, floating step appeared more as an unsteady swaying in the adolescent and then only as a limp and stumbling in the adult.
The longer the man who was once an angel walked the dusty and stony paths of life, climbed the arduous stairs, stumbled down the sheer thorny slopes, the more he had forgotten where he came from and why he was wandering here.
All that remained was his great love for the little red poppies that bloomed along roadsides and in poor meadows.
Man encountered much suffering on his way through life. Although he was sometimes able to dry a tear or share his bread with someone who was starving, most of the mysteries remained and he realized more and more how little he could do and how much he had to leave behind unfinished.
His strength is only enough for very little and it often seemed to him that his life had no effect.
But every spring the poppies bloomed along the roadsides and gladdened people's hearts. After a particularly long, cold winter, in which man had scarcely found enough warmth and shelter, space and food, friendship and bread, he could only move slowly and with difficulty. He had to take many breaks and fell asleep by the wayside from exhaustion.
Then he saw far above him on an unreachable high rock a small meadow full of red poppies. Man rubbed his eyes. So red, so red the poppy blossomed!
When he saw these flowers, he wished so much that he could give such a flower and such a clear, heartfelt red as a sign of love to all the people he met and all the animals around him.
Then he noticed a hiker next to him, just as tired, just as marked by the long road as he was.
"Where do you look so full of longing and full of melancholy?" he asked. Look at the poppies there. That should be the color of our love." Don't you know how quickly these kinds of flowers wither, how wonderful they are?" came the wanderer's question.
The man who was once an angel whispered, "I know of their mortality. Nevertheless there is no redder red in the world and in my heart. These flowers are like love, even if the outside withers, their red remains in the soul"
Then the two people looked into each other's faces and recognized the last spark of heavenly light in the other's eyes. They saw where they came from, where they had gone and where they were going. And they each saw a wing on themselves. They hugged each other with joy.
Then the miracle happened. They reached the poppy field, together they could fly, because humans are angels with only one wing - in order to fly they have to hug each other.
At that hour God in heaven said:
You found out what you were going for and I sent you out.

From what I understand, this storyline is based on a Russian legend about red angels who lived peacefully near a lake until the demons captured them. Demons also broke one wing of each angel so they could not fly away or leave.
Then one angel (Dimash's character) and his partner held hands and used their one wing each to fly away. This story is supposed to signify love, loyalty and the fact that if you work together you can achieve what you want 💞💞💞
I also read somewhere that this was about global warming causing extreme weather, rising temperatures, etc and, thereby, destroying ecosystems and effecting all life on earth❗
There're probably many other interpretations. The nature of true art is that different people may "see" different things in it based on their lens of life experiences. I feel that Dimash is an artist who, through his music and artistry, brings out different emotions in people based on their life experiences. That's one of the reason we love him so much❣❣❣
