I was one of the concrete pump operators that pumped the concrete into the interior diaphragms as well as the new bearing locations. Being able to work on this bridge and even work inside of it was a once in a lifetime experience that I was very fortunate to be part of. Thank you Toebe construction and MDOT

I am a Zilwaukee local. I am glad they made this video, it's nice for them to let us know what is going on, how they are doing it. Good video.

This video was fascinating to watch. I love seeing what actually goes into all these road projects.

Great video! Since my unit (MDOT Lansing Survey Support) had done some preliminary LiDAR scanning on this bridge, I was very interested in seeing how the actual work was being carried out. Bridges are not my specialty, so I was initially quite surprised to see that bearing replacement on a bridge this huge was expected and planned for. It's an amazing feat of engineering!

I wonder if this is considered an easy job for these guys, or if it's super hard super stressful. It looks difficult

Some say Jimmy Hoffa was buried in the concrete of the Zilwaukee bridge.

won't cross this bridge at all. I get off at exit 150 and go around.
