if you look at the difference between the start of bisseger to cavagna. Cavagna looks like he lost a gear and soft pedalled for a bit before getting up to speed, while Bisseger did a track style lunge back to start and whacked it straight out the gate. Reckon that's a big factor as to why Cavagna lost as well as getting held up in the last corner
Untill Qhubeka-Assos stepped in to save Campenaerts and his team. He was searching hard for a team to join. But nobody was really interested in a time-trial-one-trick. This winter he trianed hard on the cobbles and actually did pretty good in the opening week. I think he is reassuring his place as a pro cyclist since teams might be interested now.
Nobody talking about how bad Cavagna's clothing fits, especially around the arms? When we are talking about 0.8 seconds, there has to be more attention to detail.
Reasons Campenaerts didn't end very high (from his interviews with Belgian television): 1) He usually puts a lot of time into TT prep, but this winter he focused more on the classics so he lacked in preparation to ride a good result. He also said that he will focus more on TT when preparing for the Giro, so he will probably do better there. 2) He has been working on a new position (compare the pictures in the video to some older ones and you'll see that his hands are much closer to his face), so he felt not very comfortable on the bike (I also thinks it's a new bike) and on such a technical parcours with bad road surface it makes a real difference. And about the shoes: he said that he did not have time to test the new socks, so wore his hour record shoes (he was not allowed to have socks during the hour record)
Love these extra bits LR. Bissegger’s CDA is crazy. The guy in the bleu/ blanc/ rouge get -up? That’s a weird game. A few years ago was leaving the Alps down round Vauginy, near Alpe d’ Huez and the TdFr was transitioning over to the Pyrenees. Pulls into the last garage for fuel before getting on the motorway and there are loads of service vehicles and fans of the race. There were a bunch of guys dressed like your man. I swear they got more attention from the casual race followers than all the Team cars etc! It takes all sorts I guess. I just wonder what they do the rest of the time though 🤔🤘🍀
Hello LR👊 I want to say you do a fantastic job commenting on cycling. You are better than those other guys at the races. I see you there soon. Thanks for everything 🚴♂️💨
What a shift between P-N and T-A there has been the last 10 years. Almost all the big riders are going to Tirreno these days. It was the other way around back in the day
@@roberthbailey 100%, speaking as filthy casual cycling fan it would be cool to see some of the smaller tours mix it up, four man teams, no radios etc. I like the golden seconds thing in Binkbank tour
Regarding Victor Camp, we have seen him in the closing kilometers at the front of the group this year like not before, assuming it’s for their lead out. But he’s got that filthy aero position with the new Flemish style cockpit set up with compact flare handlebars tilted up and brake hoods way up in the air. What’s his goal this year?
sorry im new to cycling and have a question. Are these top athletes juicing still? is that a thing? or are they all natural. sub 18 for 14km is just insane
Bisegger is pretty high up on the Strava leaderboard for a couple of segments near me. He set them in 2015. I’m ONLY 900 places back, and about 16 kph slower. Glad that this TT win can give him some solace as I breathe down his neck.
A climb where the average is not representative of the climb due to very steep sections being interchanged by flat parts. So a kilometer of 10% and then a kilometer of 0%, So 5% average, not at all representative of the climb's toughness. - Benji
Best ride of the day for me was Oliver Naesen, coming in 85th for the third consecutive day 🤯
and he called Kruijswijk the model of consistency... fake news

I don't know if he is trolling us, but Lazer and that
helmet are definitely trolling him🤣
xxs size 😂
Well looking at his lack of socks Campenaerts must have just come out of the water and still had the run to go. He was obviously pacing himself. 🤔
Campernaets had the Tri look going...LOL

Primož is looking even more deadly this season than ever.
The real reason Campenaerts slipped - he forgot his socks.
Came here to say exactly that: Karma
Such a big troll 😂 I wasn't a Roglic fan and i didn't like him so much before but now I love this guy 😂💪❤️
My Hero....Primoz Roglic!! Good luck!!
Nobody talking about how bad Cavagna's clothing fits, especially around the arms? When we are talking about 0.8 seconds, there has to be more attention to detail.
EF with the Spaceballs hommage helmet
That's why he went at ludicrous speed
“It would go quicker if EF painted a duck on it”...can someone please make this happen? 🦆 💰
Lol 😂😂😂
BTW where is their duck kit?
If Roglic’s is the helmet of doom, the Bisseger’s is the helmet of zoom.
Or if they painted "Spaceballs" on it.

do you need to test new socks
Brilliant analysis as always LR!
V helpful summary w excellent video highlights, way to go
the way pros flew up the last hill was insane. They are just so good.

Yes, he's trolling. And good on him, we need more of it.
He's having fun for sure. Love it !
How this bloke doesn't have 100k subs yet is baffling
1:37 we french have been home for too long, gotta loose it up a bit, and what better opportunity than a Paris-Nice time trial :D
That Scott bike is beautiful
Profession job!!! Thank you

Q. What is going on in the background of this picture?
A. The latest EF skinsuit getting an airing.
Good recap, thanks
I'm not sure if I've seen anyone looking more "aero" than this 4:15
What a shift between P-N and T-A there has been the last 10 years. Almost all the big riders are going to Tirreno these days. It was the other way around back in the day
Roglič gets better every race. I hope he is trolling, cause if so that’s hilarious 😂
TTs have too much impact on GC in these races, tho if they threw in a swim and run stage that might mix it up
One could say that teams and radios have too much impact on these races. At least with TTs, the racers are doing the work themselves.
@@roberthbailey 100%, speaking as filthy casual cycling fan it would be cool to see some of the smaller tours mix it up, four man teams, no radios etc. I like the golden seconds thing in Binkbank tour
I def think conditions changed during this TT. The riders at the back end of the schedule def posting much faster times.
I do believe Primoz is aware of the helmet memes...must be trolling! I love Lantern!!!

What’s his goal this year?
Quick question, if we remove Pogačar from the equation, where does Roglič lose time? Who can drop him and on what sort of climb?
Thanks!
Dennis Campenaerts?
For sure
Where did Campenarts put his socks?
Dennis Campenaerts ♥
Can someone tell me their leg workout? Or are they just skinny on the top so their thighs look big.
I think they ride bikes a lot
sorry im new to cycling and have a question. Are these top athletes juicing still? is that a thing? or are they all natural. sub 18 for 14km is just insane
You can never know about doping, but equipment and aerodynamics etc. is very very advanced
Look at R. cavagna. Danm he looks in Great form...
Dutch Damian Lewis hahaha I'm dead
What’s with the photos in these highlights is he limited to a certain amount of video footage?
Yes
LOL I spit out my food at the duck comment!
What do u guys think is he trolling
'fake news climb' had me like wut
Bisegger is pretty high up on the Strava leaderboard for a couple of segments near me. He set them in 2015. I’m ONLY 900 places back, and about 16 kph slower. Glad that this TT win can give him some solace as I breathe down his neck.
Yes.....
He's not trolling it will just be for the sponsors, as they want new products marketed.
He IS a funny guy and he IS trolling us.
The Bianchi curse.......
Victor didnt have socks on so thats why he did bad
He won't be trolling if I can have it! 😝 Free!
Absolute troll
Liked the vid but not the title
What is a fake news climb? bc it levels off?
A climb where the average is not representative of the climb due to very steep sections being interchanged by flat parts. So a kilometer of 10% and then a kilometer of 0%, So 5% average, not at all representative of the climb's toughness. - Benji
Like Signal d'Uchon in TDF this year basically 1/3 is descending.
Guillaume Martin did shit also, do you think he wanted to loose time in order to win a stage? Or he just sucks in itt?
Just sucks at it
Best thing in a lot time! If they painted a duck!!!
Lazar helmet meh, POC helmet next level funny / odd
Rogla = Trollgla 🤣
It wouldn't be a professional bike race without a scary clown on the side of the road.
stage 4 proof you wrong ;-)
I said roglic was the heavy favourite?
Tirreno preview?
Ran out of time and don’t have the footage rights
Pretty sure the clown is a UCI rep
Idk if roglic is trolling. He might have eaten one to many Hema-worst.
Just call it a TT. We know its individual. Its a TT.
There are also team trials in cycling
Kruijswijk the Dutch Damian Lewis
They could be brothers
The UCI need to ban that POC helmet. It’s a god awful abomination. It looks like an “over thumbed” bell end.
Geoghegan Hart couldn’t train much because he was too busy with his transformation into a political activist
