Tickets were 450 quid and a beer cost a tenner, they out-priced the youngsters who used to be able to afford it and just went there to enjoy the music, now it's so commercialised for the affluent rich and drug dealers. The original message of the Glastonbury festival has long been lost and forgotten. The ticket pricing is a rip off and the mess they left. So much to their protesting the environment, bunch of middle class hypocrites putting a stain on the land.
I couldn't have said it better myself. It was £49 the first year I went. The kind of people it attracts now, hadn't even heard of it back then, and if they had, they certainly wouldn't have wanted to go.
