Absolutely loved this video. Brings back happy memories of our visit in 2021. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. You were so lucky with the weather. Beautiful shot drone footage. Showing this majestical place. Well done Dave and Lisa . One of your best 👍 Loving the multi use of the packraft/ sun lounger 😉👌
Hi Steve, 😁👍… I agree, maybe one of our best videos/adventures. Super relaxing adventure thanks to the weather etc. Multifunctional adventure vessel 😁👍
Somewhere, between beguiling and enchanting, drops this beautiful film, like a spool of wild honey to sweeten this squally April day. I trudge to work, through dreary streets, yet my head still ringing with wild wind, stone, water, air - and that great, magnificent, brooding cathedral of rock as the monumental backdrop; its dark bells tolling through my day.
I remember being able to see that 1st beach from Suilven back in 2005 which remains to this day my favourite mountain day ever. From Suileag, climbing above the mist & then clearing to get 'that view'. That landscape there is the essence of 'wild' & is there a more iconic mountain ? The fun & closeness of your relationship jumps out from the video & once again your camera work, choice of music & drone footage are second to none.
Hi Michael, The whole area is just amazing. Especially in good weather. It’s definitely as close to “wild” as we’re going to get these days. Probably our most relaxing adventure. Thank you for messaging. 🙂🙏👍🫡
What a trip guys. That will live long in the memory. 😎👌 Nice of the wind to give yous a helping hand too. 🌬️ Some cracking camping spots, what a place Assynt is & Suilven looked stunning.
Hi Kev, It was a cracker of a trip. It all came together nicely. Both those pitches were really good. Found the second one on a previous visit.. always said I’d go back and camp there. Thanks bud. Hope alls well. D&L 😁
Hello you two scallywags. Another very enjoyable vlog. You have a great sense of adventure. The editing and content are perfect, not to fancy, no gimmicks.. just nature and views at its best. Thank you for sharing + all the hard work in putting these videos together 👍
Hey Gary, hellooooo… 😁 “no gimmicks” now that’s superb to read. We don’t go for all the algorithm chasing stuff. We just do it and publish it. If people like it, mega! If they don’t.. no problem at all. Thanks as always for watching. 😃🙏
Wow excellant adventure and the views were spectacular!! You both did a great job at filming and allowing a person to imagine themselves there! Awesome!! :) :)
Great video, very well put together. ( could not spell "edited" ) nothing more peaceful than sitting bobbing along in the kayak on a loch. Many thanks for sharing, Stay young, ATB
Hi to you both ,yet again smashed another video out ,probably said this before ,for me you are the true meaning of life ,the love for outdoor adventure ❤️ love to you both and take care X
Hi Lisa, Hi Dave, and Hi Hamish. You’re back, and oh wow how you are back. What a video, what an adventure, stunning simply stunning. My favourite area of Scotland, I really need to get back up to Assynt soon. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure, all the best Dave. 😀🥾⛰🏴🏴
Great adventure although I’ll admit for a while I thought you were just paddling in circles as the view of Suilven never seemed to move.😂. Great inspiration for the beauty and tranquility of Scotland. A place we’re lucky enough to call home.
The Wild Places....Simple and magical and elegant. Thank you - We also kayaked this many years ago in a Feathercraft Klondike - Thank you for sharing this 🥰😀😀

What a cracking adventure!! Really slick editing made it a joy to watch. Having been in Assynt several times your film almost made me feel homesick - must get back up there. Thanks for the work you two put into these videos, it truly is worth it 🙏

@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389I absolutely love it up there (as I do all over Scotland!) but even from the beauty of the Highlands I just feel like I'm out in true wilderness when I'm up between Wester Ross and Sutherland. Until then I'll be slumming it 😉 for three days this week on my pannier bike in Dumfries and Galloway 🚴♂️😃👍 Cheers 👍
Good to see you guys back. You've been a bit quiet. Mind you July has been very wet and not conducive to getting out. I think you've been packrafting in this area before? I'm sure you have done a video in the past. I know you did a wild camp on the summit of Suilven. The mountain of choice when friends from the south visit and want to climb a hill. Keep having safe fun on the hills.
Another top adventure from you guys 👏👏and it’s all in Bonny Scotland 🏴 love the rafts they look sturdy when inflated .you don’t seem to use the allak much is that due to carry weight ? Great ppl great channel thankyou 🤙👍
Absolutely brilliant, I loved every minute ❤. Thank you very much for sharing your experience. Hi Lisa , how are you getting on with your shoes that you wear wearing. I bought my better half Eileen a pair but one of them is hurting her but I think she pulls them too tight because they now have the lace attached to the inside edge of the shoe . I think she is aiming for me to buy her some new ones 😢.she’s nae chance.Cheers James
Hi James, thank you buddy. 😁🙏 Lisa says they are very comfortable for her. I’ve also the men’s ones. Work well for me too. The only thing is they don’t last long. Lisa says, buy Eileen a new pair!! 😂😂
Fantastic brilliant footage and production as usual thank you both. Well done you two! Amazing adventure... Matty (from Adventure is made) and I are eager to do this trip asap... !! Question: You know the faster flowing section at the end of Veyatie, connecting to Fionn... do you think it'd be possible to travel back upstream? I presume by foot would be the only option as the flow looked more powerful than I anticipated...? Thanks for the help and sending much love to you both, Eze. EDIT: Perfect! There’s a trail there! 1.7km to bring us back upstream to Veyatie
Hi Eze, thank you for your message. 😊👍 Sorry for the slow reply. I think you could get part way up depending on what the recent weathers been doing. Possibly as far as where we camped. (In perfect conditions). You’d then need to portage past the faster flowing section then back in where it opens up into Veyatie. As you’ve seen there’s a prominent trail to a point where most people camp if they are paddling out and back from the eastern Elphin end. Have a super trip when it comes. Hopefully catch your video of it. D&L 😊👍🔆
Hey.. thank you. 🙂🙏 They are Alpacka Packrafts. No real reason why they can’t go into the sea but we don’t paddle in tidal waters. Thank you for watching. 😁🫡👍
Great video. Can you confirm if taht is a bow bag on the back of the rafts just hanging off 2 lashing points? I have an Apacka and never thought of doing it this way. Also how long was the walk back to "Hamish"?
Yeah it’s a bit of a leap of faith each time to be honest. The only tip really is to make sure anything of interest is out of sight. We also often pull the blinds down and turn the seats in an attempt to make it look like we are either there or not far away.
Having watched this video, it has inspired us to wildcamp here this coming June, have you a OS map ref for the 2 camp locations? And did you see any other spots (Prefer a grassy area) for a few tents en route from Elphin? We have packrafts/kayaks. We will be returning to Elphin rather that heading west. Thanks
Can I just say I’ve watched exactly 23 seconds of this and can’t wait to watch the rest….love Suilven 🥰
