  • In a desperate attempt to make my new Summit Racing intake manifolds fit. I bought a set of new polyurethane BMR motor mounts! These are said to be adjustable.

    It looks like you’ve got speed engineering headers. What did you do to stop the headers from contacting the steering axle?

    Yo is ur car cammed? If so do the mounts cause ur car to shake at idle a lot more than it did with stock mounts?Most people want a comfortable car but I don’t daily my Camaro so I wouldn’t mind it shaking the soul out of me and my interior.

      @@DatHondaBoi223 it was cammed when I put these mounts on. It did vibrate more than before but nothing too crazy. This was my daily when it was cammed with this mount setup and the vibration didn’t really bother me

    I installed this in my 2010 and I have lots of vibration and I can’t figure out why

      Yea these mounts are a lot stiffer than stock ones and will cause vibration like crazy I don’t recommend running these mounts unless your stocks aren’t holding up to the power your making I just run oem on mine because it is a daily

    Wait you didn’t have to lift the engine up?

      I had the motor supported by jackstands

      @@richmondstgarage7147 no i kept the brackets on. It was kind of a pain to do on the driver side tho. But passenger side was a lot easier

    The part you removed to lower your engine was the wrong one you need to reinstall that part. the instructions was referring to a different spacer that is no longer included with the redesigned motor mounts

      Do you know if the new bmr mounts are lower than factory

    • @jaimeedwards1269
      @jaimeedwards1269 Год назад

      @@josepheckman8443 I had the opposite issue I needed to raise my engine do to my long tubes. I called BMR thinking they forgot the spacers but they said the updated motor mounts are factory height (I made my own spacers and raised my engine). The older design that came with the aluminum spacers were shorter than factory with the spacers not installed. The spacers were the silver aluminum rectangle pieces that are no longer provided in the kit.
