Great presentation. Perhaps a walk through for the WINDOWS 10 IoT features. I usually have the VNC and File Server functions turned on for remote support purposes where anyone's laptop connected to the panel can allow me to see and also continue other configurations over the internet.
Hello Dan, were you ever able to setup a Series B on LDAP for Authentication? We are having many issues with this process; only series B panels give us issues. Series A works fine.
Hello. I repeated this procedure but my HMI panelview 7 still does not want to communicate, no PIGN and no net activity. You don't know what the problem could be? I tried everything possible, I found a couple of people on the forum who have the same problem as me, but they did not find a solution.
If you are unable to ping your HMI on these new models it is because it is turned off by default. After you reset the HMI you will want to press EXIT and put in the password you created, It will bring you to a windows 10 desktop, you'll want to press the gear at the bottom left, then press services, then on the Ping Response (ICMP) and turn it on, you can then press the 'X' in the bottom left and it will bring you back to the AB screen
Thanks for sharing such a useful video. however, my terminal stuck on the password in the very first beginning, could you kindly share how to reset the termainl? I had tried press F1 but no working. Thanks again for your help.
Thanks for your info I appreciate. I would like to know if you have any information to get a conection between and nv controller (toshiba) and this panelview plus 7 series b through kepserver?. I can't comunicate but the weird thing is that i did the same process in a panelview plus 6 and there comunication works.
Great video, can you helpme with one question, How can I transmit the HMI to my laptop using VNC? I already enable the VNC option and Ping. The HMI reponse if I send a ping but VNC doesent connected. Thaks for the information.
I cant get mine to accept the ip address. After reset it still shows all zeros. Any idea why that would be? Not my first rodeo and followed all steps exactly as described. Thanks!
doubt you need this anymore but I left a comment here because I had the same issue "If you are unable to ping your HMI on these new models it is because it is turned off by default. Series B doesn't have VNC
@@MaxihVG It does now with latest firmware. You can then enable it in the advanced windows 10 menu of the PanelView.
I tried enabling it on the windows screen, it accepts it but I can still not connect with VNC on my laptop?

If an ethernet cable is not connected it will not show the IP information.
Great video...
Thanks for the info mate!
Thanks!
After setting up the panelview and set static IP, I cannot ping IT. Any advise
