YES!!!, -- I always wondered the same thing!! In my opinion, it's GOT to be one of the Top #1 Comedy Shows ever Shown on TV!! And in my very own personal opinion, Lots of what made it what it was/is, was the fact that they decided to make it out of all 5 or 6 --maybe a couple more-- Different Nationalities-- in order to make it as Funny as it became!!!
At the time I believe the Presiddent and his staff. Did not like one of or a few comments that was said. In an episode, they went too far. So they had NBC canceled the program. The show at the time was a big hit. But now, years later, they claim it wasn't liked and etc. It's not true from what I remember years back when it first aired.
I noticed an error in the lines. When the reporter asks Mavis if she likes the president, Mavis replies “oh, yes child. I’m his biggest fan.” But when they are all watching the interview on TV, what they play is Mavis saying. “Oh yes girl, I’m his biggest fan.” I wish it had more than just one season.
