Greata Keller belongs to my favorite singers with her wonderful and very special kind of singing and interpretation! You offer us here two very beautiful songs and recordings (both new to me) with her, made in Hilversum in the distance of nine years. Both Orchestras - at first The Ramblers and then Gerard Krevelen accompany the beautiful voice of Greta Keller marvelously with such a softness, that it is a great pleasure to hear!! Vielen Dank für deinen netten Kommentar, lieber Julian, ! Frau Keller kam gern nach Holland und machte Ende der vierziger Jahre eine Reihe von Aufnahmen, die heute leider fast vergessen sind ....

@@parlophonman Vielen Dank, lieber Daniel! Es geht mir inzwischen besser, aber mein Leben hat sich im Vergleich zu dem vor zwei Jahren komplett verändert.... Als voll Berufstätiger und ansonsten Pflegender bkeibt für mich selbst (und damit natürlich auch für RUclips) kaum Zeit übrig. Für die aktuelle Stabilisierung bin ich aber sehr dankbar! 🙏👍
These two Dutch recordings with the great Greta Keller are absolute gems. The first, dreamy and romantic song was performed with extreme delicacy and the discreet (almost 'whispering') accompaniment was lovely. Just when I thought I couldn't get any better, came the second with van Krevelen & His Orchestra, of such breathtaking beauty it left me speechless. Thank you so much Daniel for sharing these two treasures! Wishing you a Merry Christmas as well as good health and happiness in 2024 :-)

Greta Keller was perfect in such slower, sultry and reflective songs - I like her singing that way, which you may remember, Daniel. Thank you.
The second one was to me unknown so far, so an extra Keller-Adventure has happened to me here...
(Btw. - did you change in some way the process of playing, I hear some change in the sound...?)
Nothing has changed in the sound, but unfortunately the 2nd recording in particular is full of strong noise due to the reuse of the post-war shellac.
