Wonder if you could create a tier list on the "Must" premium ships to the "least"? Also I would like to see more British Cruisers....maybe the Achilles and her sister ship?
I wish they would add more ships to the tech trees. Most of these premium ships are not worth the money. Great video though man.

Welcome back ! The less you play the more I was tempted to pick it up again but then you came back and reminded me of the out of pocket cost to boost a commander in less time than the 6 months of 8 hr a day grinding free to play way

I just broke 100k for the first time ever over the weekend...I appeared from behind an enemy DDs smoke, angled properly, and all 4 turrets trained out...8 shots into a close range broadside New York...4 citadels, 3/4 health to 0 just like that...Warspite is the best premium BB, tier for tier, in my humble opinion...😁😎
I had an OUTSTANDING game in this ship. took on 2 destroyers, 1 cruiser and a battleship. kited away and trolled the destroyers out of there torps multiple times. killed them all and lived!
Spartan, heard some mutterings about your t-61 vid. You had 200 subs when I found you. I wanted to know what the Clickers and big gun TDs were up to, and you had the 3 Marks of Shame. After watching a dozen games, I left a comment "Thanks for all the Pascucci's". Your reply was witty, honest, typically you, so I stayed.
When you started light tanks a year later, at Tier 10, and still don't know how to track.
I said you were a scrub. I was right.
Over the next year, you worked hard and became a very competent light tanker. I'm sure you'd do the same in DD.
The T61 vid was an excellent demonstration of the ship. A BB main can grind through the missions and not lose money and get back to playing their Awoi's with One Thumb Only.
If shooting the guns gets you killed, if managing the shitty turret traverse runs you into an island or you get confused which bloody ammo to shoot at whom, forget them. Do not shoot. Not the best way to play, but solid advice from a noob to the noobs.
Good players might scoff, great players understand more than their own game.
You're a BB main had an average game. For your BB main viewers, it was an honest showing of what they should expect from the T61, and if it gets them through the missions with aclarity, they'll buy it.

Personally I have always enjoyed our little back and forths. Except for when you perma tracked Zyclops in during that match on Ardennes where I had done 8k+ damage.
The reason I say things like don't use the guns on this unless you have to or something along those lines is because on my destroyers with the exception of my American DDs I set them up for maximum Torpedo effect. So I take considerable DPM loss to my guns with that build.
So while the guns aren't terrible like the Mutsuki they still would be at a disadvantage in a gunfight vs another full health DD that hasn't taken that build.
I personally suck at DDs and with more practice I am sure I could indeed learn to be much better at them it just takes time. I have a lot to learn in this game yet only 1600 games played vs the 17000 I had in WoT over the 5+ years of playing it.
Im never one to shy away from a little criticism as long as it is directed at me and not other folks in the comments section!
I know that the ship is in its ww1 configuration so the shells are probably different, i.e. less pen than Amagi. It's similar to the Bayern vs. the Gnisenau/Bismarck. Same caliber guns but different penetration values.
You showcased a much better "first look" than I did - but I shared my very first battle with the Ashitaka - before I figured out how to run it better. ;) Now if only I had your subscriber pool.....

Got this ship today, and it is my new favorite! However, I always leave people with a sliver of health, and then someone else steals the kill.
GG Cheers for the review. Ashitaka Aka Ashit! No planes at tier six battleship makes me nervous put that with those shells on a premium just not my cup of tea. Having said that it is a sexy design I like the stack. You know my tech abilities I don’t even know how to screenshot so I will save you some time for someone else’s contribution. I do stare at the screen when I have a big game hoping to commit it to memory but I got so much shite in my head to start with. Peas love and BBs rule Johnny Bloke.

Mutsu and Ashitaka have older shells with terrible penetration, thats why you were getting so many shatters.

Yeah, this and the Mutsu kinda struggle with relevance...weak deck armor, weak AP penetration, ummm... hmmm...
Just one question, does Charles madden inspiration is actually quite good for reducing reload time? Because the original reload is 31 sec and i have seen his reload drop 0.3 second to 30.7 second. I wonder if it worth? 😕
I only have him at lvl 6 so only a .9% reduction in reload but he also huffs turret rotation
I have him at Level 14, Legendary 2, and the base trait reload improvement is only 3.something...the turret rotation bit is more valuable for inspirations

I’ve watched this like 3 times since I bought it when it first came out, and I always find this ship tricky to play with because you have a high caliber but you have like post war shells so no pen but he is good and ap is good against cruisers

To be honest, you’re one of the best players I’ve seen. The highest damage I scored was around 120,000 damage (I was just lucky) I am nowhere close to your skills, you can destroy me in seconds. BTW, I’ve heard that the Ashitaka has the old WW1 shells like Mutsu. That might explain the shells shattering and the low penetration.
It's a broken ship. I bought it and the mutsu is superior tier for tier

@@ijnyamato4351 you have to have a little luck to get a score like that. Poor teammates mean more damage for you to farm plus the enemy kept showing their citadels so yeah. That was my 1st cracken
With this ship on sale this weekend, is it still worth picking up now? Not sure what has happened nerf / buff from 2+ years ago... Also, it says it has "Inferior AP Pen"...should you shoot HE instead?

What I have heard is that it uses some old shell type which are bad at penetration
Two things
1. Does Ashitaka have Mutsu's guns or Nagato/Amagi's guns?
2. I'm getting a little fed up with this whole "nerf a ship, drop it a tier, and sell it as a premium" gimmick. They need more premiums that are actually unique like Graf Spee

She is a pre modernization amagi so her shells have less pen and damage while she has less armor than her sister ship
Ashitaka also known as Takao was an actual planned Amagi class Battlecruiser. This was the 1st design where the Amagi was planned to be modernised but an earthquake ended the Amagi while it was being built

Basically I just wanted to know which other ships have the 3rd year guns like Ashitaka. 410mm is the same caliber but not the same gun. A mistake often made with this game such as when people say Vanguard has the same guns as Queen Elizabeth just cause they're 15-inch

Play Alsace. You will get above 200k within 50 matches. Just save hp until late game.
I did 78000 damage with two salvos at close range from the ship last night then got taken out with torpedoes and Cruiser hits great damage not very well armoured
I got hit in the shell cartridge yesterday on the Kongo. I was one shotted. 54k hp I did in one hit. Gone dead. I didn't even know what happened all I saw was orange numbers on my ship with huge dmg numbers, 23k 32k 10k. Overlilled me.
Which ship is the better moneymaker? Is it Scharnhorst or the Ashitaka?
Can you ZOOM in after shooting or should I say, hold your binoculars so we can see the dispersion of the shells , when u can , thanks

I really struggle on this map in Battleships as i like to keep moving.
The map for battleships can be rough if you get impatient. Destroyers can be lurking and also so many people can hit you from the other side of the map
Yep that's my trouble. I've tried Safe Yoloing, I've tried using Island as Cover but didn't work, I haven't tried pretending to be AFK though.
Enjoying the Bretagne though and got XP ready for Normandie.
1st (what is essentially) a Nagato at tier 5, then an Amagi at tier 6, next Yamato at tier 7? 😈.... on a side note, gotta figure out how to record full game clips, would love to send stuff in... Also, maybe use Jaujard as inspiration to help with shatters?

From 2022 ashitaka has lower than average penetration hence the shatters and bounces.

I'd like to see the continuation of the existing lines (British cruisers, French destroyers) before embarking on new nations and lines. There's no denying the importance of the Australian navy, though, especially in the Pacific theatre of WWII.
I'd like to see all the navy's would make for much more diverse battles
If I had paid 65 quid for that I would be gutted! That score should of been way higher if it wasn't for all the shatters and bounces.

I love Japanese battleships. Mutsu nagato and amagi are all brilliant.
But this boat is the worst battleship I have played tier 5 and up.
It's main guns and shatter like hell.
But it's the wafer thin armour that really pisses you off. You get completely over matched by any battleship you come across.
If your in a tier 7 battle then you don't stand much chance. You will not be able to ricochet or bow tank anything.... And no im not a noob

Broken guns that need patching.
Average tier 5 armour.
No plane
So many broadside shots and 1 citadel. Idk
It seams like the mitsu and I hate my mitsu
Better than the Mutsu because it has better Armor and definitely better gun handling
@@SpartanElite43 your wrong spartan. Tier for tier the mutsu is superior. It has enough pen for the weaker hulls at tier 5 and 4 and can hold its own against some tier 6s whilst never seeing tier 7s.
This has to face tier 7s and you just get hurt by every shot that touched you.
No amount of angling can help you and don't dare think about bow tanking. You'll get triple citadeled. You then fire a return volley and shatter or fail to pen.
I thricking love IJN battleships but this one wargaming really screwed me over. I'll never spend another penny on this game again
