Murad says that when you add words into the Qur'an, it's surprisingly SINFUL! (#05)

Murad now moves on to examples in the English Qur'an where the translators from the Arabic imposed words and phrases which they found in the Standard Islamic Narrative (S.I.N.), which are the much later Islamic Traditions.
It was obvious in almost every case that the translators needed these words or phrases in the text to give authority to what has been written in the SIN.
Here are two examples, numbers 9 and 10, of the 40 which Murad is introducing in this series:
    9) Surah 3:123 - The word "Badr" means in Arabic a time of year, usually when the moon is at its fullest, so the 'Full Moon'.
In this verse, however, the Muslim English translators have changed it to say "the battle of Badr", which was the first battle which Muhammad was involved in, during the year 624, according to the SIN.
In order to have this battle referred to in the Qur'an, to give it more authority, the translators imposed it into the text, when it clearly is not there in the Arabic.
Surah 8:41 - Here the words in Arabic should be simply "the day the two armies met", but in the translations they have added the words "at Badr", yet it clearly is not in the Arabic. In the context, the verse is about the time when Moses was separating the sea. But the translators needed this story of Badr in the Qur'an, so they just imposed it "willy-nilly".
Surah 3:165 - Here is another example of a battle, but no reference is in the Arabic to say which battle it is, yet, the translators have added two SIN battles, that of Badr and Uhud, though these names are not there in the Arabic at all.
    10) Surah 8:1 - the word "Anfail" which means in Arabic "additional" has been translated "spoils of war" by the English translators. That is clearly not the meaning at all. But the translators need this added idea to support what happened at the battles which Muhammad took part in.
In two other verses, Surah 17:79 and Surah 21:72 we find the same words, yet in both of those instances the translators translated the word correctly, saying "additional".
These are all examples of "Asbab al-Nuzul" which, according to Wikipedia means Occasions or circumstances of revelation (asbāb al-nuzūl, أسباب النزول), or referencing the historical context in which Qur'ran verses were revealed from the perspective of the S.I.N. (i.e. traditionalist theology of Islam).
Though it has some use in reconstructing the Qur'an's historicity, asbāb is by nature an exegesis rather than a historiography genre, and as such usually associates the verses it explains with
general situations rather than specific events.
In order for Muslims to find credence for the events in the Standard Narrative, they look at occasions in the Qur'an where they can add those instances, or in these two examples, the names and ideas, so that greater authority is given to these events in their traditions.
This, however, goes against every rule in translation, so that instead of properly exegeting the Arabic text, the translators have eisegeted it (imposed their own meanings) which suggests not only a bias, but an agenda.

@@tommyrotton9468You seem to be misunderstanding my intent. The innovation is the Quran and the new religion of Iztlam. It is all fabricated by someone who may or may not have been Muhammad and then amended later.
The Quran does borrow from other religions, but it combines them in its own way. Jinn, Angels, Jesus virgin birth, etc., but then denies Jesus deity. They borrowed from Zoroastrianism the circumambulation then made it around a cube in the desert.
I am only telling you what I heard about al gebra, an arabic term. It was necessary for calculating the inheritance divisions. Certainly aspects of mathmatics pre-date Itzlam, but the name is arabic. Make of that what you wish.

THE BIBLE: The Bible was originally written in three different languages (Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic), on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and Africa), in a time-spend of over 1500 years, by over forty different authors among whom were kings, peasants, philosophers, fishermen, poets, statesmen, scholars, a herdsman, a general, a cupbearer, a doctor, a tax collector, and a rabbi. Without contradicting one another, each author wrote on the common theme of God’s enduring love for mankind, and God’s redeeming plan of salvation through His Son - Jesus Christ.
    *
Unlike the Quran written in a period of about 23 years in Mohammed’s native tongue (the Quraishi tribal dialect and then translated into the Arabic language), the forty plus different authors of the Bible were moved by the Spirit of God to write down truths about God in their own ways of thinking, in their own ways of understanding, and in their own ways of reasoning in that which is truth. Each author also wrote down the truths of God in his own style of compositions - be it essay, music, or poetry.
    *
Critics of the Bible claimed the Bible contains contradictions. How? - Because two different authors living hundreds and hundreds of years apart on two different continents, and whose writing styles (essay, music, or poetry) in two different languages did not use the same word or phrase to describe the same event. How ridiculous the claim!
    *
We must also consider the Bible was not originally written on computer software (Microsoft Disk, iPad, or CD Rom), but rather the Bible was written on papyrus - a wet land plant-based substance (or materials) that would rot and decay; thus, making the transcribers (copyists, clerks) to primitively re-write the Bible by hands unto new papyrus decades, after decades, after decades for centuries, after centuries, after centuries… What a monumental feat in all human existence - What an enormous human ingenuity of preservation!

The word نافلة (nafilatan) is very interesting.
There are to roots to consider here: n-p-l and p-l-ʾ.
n-p-l is attested across Semitic languages meaning 'to fall', also see Akkadian, Ugaritic, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Sabaic.
The second one p-l-ʾ in Hebrew פלא (pele) meaning 'wonder'. נפלא (nip̄lā) means 'wonderful', 'marvelous'.
In Ancient North Arabian I could only find n-f-l attested as a name, so the root is likely p-l-ʾ meaning gift or wonderful.
In Arabic the noun نفل (nafal) means 'gift'.
Isaac and Jacob in Q21:72 are a gift which plays into Q21:73 zakah - giving alms i.e. gifts.

What did Murad do with those weird words that don't make sense that we were thinking were loan words from Syriac or Aramaic?

      @Satarack Месяц назад +4

He leaves them untranslated. Murad is offering his translation for the first two Sura's for free if you go check out his channel, and that includes the introduction where he explains his methodology and why he decided to leave those non-Arabic words untranslated.

It’s not an appeal to authority.
      It’s an appeal to linguistics.
I have already proven him wrong.
He can’t even prove his made up ‘linguistic’ rules.
He claims that the same word must always mean the exact same thing in one text or one book.
      What’s his evidence for that?🥴🤥
He can’t even prove his made up rules.
You are defending an uneducated person. You don’t like it when Christians are getting exposed for the huge lack of knowledge.
You can’t even prove the foundation of your ‘argument’. It’s all based on made up rules without any linguistic source.

Try and keep up. the SIN is the pack of FAIRYTALES Islam tells about Muhammad, Mecca, and the rise of Islam. Muhammad NEVER EXISTED. Mecca did not exist in the 7th century AD. No mention of "Muslims" or "Islam" until the END of the 7th century - some 6 DECADES after Muhammad supposedly died. The Qur'an is a cocktail of texts, stolen from dozens of ancient sources and smooshed together into one incoherent whole.
