"This ability is not that great when it comes to damage ". I'm sorry to say it, but this is really a stupid thing to say, noctua is probably the strongest exalted weapon... I'm on redcrit with 7.5x multiplier and a base of 200k on alt fire. Noctua isn't just a buffer, it deals a Huge amount of slash and has insane stats
i totally agree with you! If you have cascadia flare with your secondary and heat on your noctua you get the 480% dmg buff too
@@safari99sm Try orange shards and secondary outburst with a good melee that can go to high combos fast like incarnon skana or sibear. Or the ceramic dagger which is always at 11x with a riven (or you can use melee crescendo). But with outburst and orange shards... well you need to check by yourself, but the book becomes pretty insane. But I really think for once that swapping an ability is a waste, of course you can only swap 1, but this is probably the best 1st ability in the game, and I even use the Vome invocation on it (so I could have a stronger build), for 60% more power strenght (of course it works to summon a stronger book).

Secondary encumber, with ceramic dagger, or any melee that can build high combo, or melee crescendo .... and orange shards, you can get a total of +75% critchance for each orange tauforged, and +220% critchance AND +220% cridamage with the arcane :) All of this on a weapon that does slash dmg, it's pretty insane. I did a level cap void cascade, even without armor strip it destroys anything, and i have the Vome invocation mod, so not the max dmg output
I like him A LOT too. Takes a bit to learn him play but he is very very strong.
Still gonna put Prime Sure Footed on him because I wanna make you proud.

I like Lavos and played around with Dante a bit yesterday.
Both frames utilize pressing your buttons a lot, Dante moreso. However, Dante feels much better despite the increase in button presses
the book procs archon mods do with that information what you will.

It's noticeable that archon strength procs on light verse, it's not a bad choice
Dante is op, 72k overguard which you can keep stacking with strength, a nuking capability of 1mil damage average after doing two of his third then activating his fourth, easy crowd control with his third and the fourth nuke, healing for the team, damage buff for the team, heavy slash procs
What’s crazy I just noticed after seeing this video when Dante is idle and does his book animation it’s shows the spells you recently summoned in the pages
I didn't see them and I waited for him to idle : / it's just regular looking

Was thinking of trying to build him with some status duration mods. Should increase his dmg output massively
heard steadfast outperforms energize with Dante but I guess it doesnt matter that much if u didnt go the equilibrium route.
1st ability is actually good. i wouldnt not subsume anything tbh. surge and sunder dont really work that well here the passive is decent with the 1st ability

I’m very glad Dante is strong. Only a little disappointed with his book, was hoping it would do some major deeps (please give us an OP book DE, I wanna lecture level cap enemies to death)
I've hit for 400k with his noctua
I did attempt levelcap on new tile set with noctua as focus of my build. Needless to say I've failed miserably as of now. Damage falls of drastically post 3k lvl and I need to think out of box.
Dante is easily an S-tier frame. He's not as well rounded as even some A-tier frames. But man, he's good at what he does.

Yep when you get hit with that, your Overguard goes bye bye, I have this issue often with Kullervo, have to reproc it each time that happens
this feels very similar to hunting horn on monster hunter (spells are just notes)

Energy nexus means the book is basically infinite ammo the meme. Jack up the fire rate and boom, lots of dead grineer.
Also why would you say the book has bad damage? That thing can nuke with the right setup.
I Iove using it with the fr on crit arcane. Radiation+fr, jolt+archon stretch. Fun times.
I just simply maxed out strength and added some range. All that matters on dante. Duration slows you down and efficiency is good on dante.
duration is good because you dont have to keep casting the light verses for the 4th so you can spend more time casting the dark verses. Also efficiency is worthless when the abilities only cost 25 and 50 energy. I use energize with 45% efficiency and have no problems

They were 2 points I don't fully understand in the 2nd build :
- how do you get the control on your opérator TP ?
- What prime means with your secondary weapon ?

Priming is basically adding a ton of effects on the enemy, sort of like weakening and debuffing them, then using your ability/melee/primary to kill them easier and faster.
Meanwhile the operator thing, I just suggest to finish the main quest first to avoid spoilers. You must complete the quest, "The War Within".
I love Dante, he's fun and engaging while being useful in team or solo
I just think there should be icons for which buffs are active besides in the (crowded) buff bar

Yeah, same here! I did like 3 Disruption runs for 10 rounds each, got two part BPs and his main BP. Only needed to buy the Chassis from Loid and I've already got him in the oven

dont use umbral intensify use archon the hp bump from the light verse counts as ability healing procing the extra 30% pwr every time u press it along with molt you will pass precision intensify on every ability
I also love the precision intensify, you "loose" a bit on other abilities, but with a Huge buff on the 4 abilities of his 4th

If you like it and have fun shooting it then leave it. I am sure its not that bad of a weapon, its just there are better options for weapon dps, and Dante himself deals good damage over a large area.
his book is fcking nuts if you mod it well, its only worse than the very best weapons in the game, and even then, if you mod it with the energy regen tome mod and remove equilibrium for strenght, you probably get a bigger nuke with equal energy management
I can do billion dmg alt fires with his book and good setup

Real quick, remember when they said yo we are taking suggestions for the next frame and the winner was Caliban I believe? I said to do exactly the 2/3 and 4 mechanic this guy has but with elements instead of light and dark so U can like combo
I usually agree and like your builds but taking noctua out of the builds is kinda stupid. Clearly didn't mess around with it enough since you said it wasn't that great when it comes to damage. Alt fire hits 1-5 million with a good build much better than most secondary weapon damage outputs. Put xata invocation on it and solves your energy problems and frees up the equilibrium slot for more strength. Don't need duration or good efficiency with him. And you can kit way higher number than your builds you showcased. Very lack luster no need to try to helminth every frame. He is a very well rounded frame that doesn't need a helminth ability
Roar just makes his nuke better because of how it mathematically works. But I agree with you that Noctua is absolutely viable and shouldn't be thrown as an option. It has many QoL thanks to grimoire mods while actually priming/doing good enough damages. By the way I just noticed the birds from you 3 and 2 charge your secondary fire.
OK but what if the move isn't all tht too him, everyone plays an obvious different way especially when it comes to what Is helminthed on and off.
He combines unbelievable with Wisp, Citrine and Sayrn. Ran this group 3 times (by chance) over the weekend.
A wisp and sayrn combo can do anything, the other 2 frames are fluff
8:41 question, i understand armor stripping etc, but whats the point in armor stripping to set up for double dark then 4th when slash ignores armor and you are detonating the slashes?
Armor seems to negate the damage from detonation

You can stat stick noctua specifically for page warden. For some reason multi shot doesn't contribute to page warden damage or status so you can skip it.
I just went full damage w/ crit and faction damage with viral. This alone is good enough to allow a unmodded braton to kill lvl 180 sp enemies (albeit a little bit slow)
These builds still work great post nerf btw, and Dante will still be getting worked on ( as of 1:53 am est 4/5/23 )
Hey Knightmare, what do you think of the new Nezha augment? Personally I think he has become one of the strongest Room Clearers up there, and if you were to rank him again, I think he would at least be in the A+ tier!
So I have a question. Since Im not really into grimoires, I decided to subsume his 1st and replaced it with nourish or something else to play him as a Caster using tragedy and page flight. Now the setup I ve most comfortably worked with is Epitaph for priming and status then tragedy = nuke. However, heavy sp enemies dont get nuked. So my question is as follows: since his Tragedy applies all the DOTs at once, this means that a primary weapon with big AOE and ton of status chance might work for nuking everything, however the big aoe weapons suffer from ammo. Since I dont have Kuva Ogris to test I was wondering if maybe Kuva Ogris with Energized munitions, 2 casts of dark verse + tragedy might do the trick. Kuva Ogris deals dot heat from the explosion with napalm and that could in theory work as a primer (and also big damage cause just priming is not enough) right? Im waiting for these types of combos with Dante. Big aoe weapons that also inflict DOT that ultimately combine with Tragedy for maximum nuke.
You can try using cedo alt fire, no ammo cost and big aoe

Word Warden
People sleep on the book summon so much.
Even with 1 helminthed you still get to use the book as your summon, turning any weapon into an aoe status spreading machine. You can mod it to be good against the faction you're playing as, or you could run it as a primary slapping blast, radiation, and electric on it. That's 3 statuses no one else is likely to be running, while your main dps weapon handles the bulk of the damage. Turn on Page Flight and laugh as things die to a million statuses.

saw a build with equilibrium my first thought was to take off that put on streamline and precision intensify in place of blind range. less power more spamming you can put red archon shards and archanes to make up for power.
No, you want the rest of his kit to benefit from strength too tbh. His 4 is plenty strong no need to sacrifice everything else

But the interaction is worth it actually. You basically triple your DoT damages (because it counts as a faction damage buff) and translate it to a big nuke.

Tbf you don’t even need priming with roar. Just went 40 min on lua with no priming and just nuked everything. Obv steel path.
So i'll be honest i suck at maths.
However, would it be possible to take advantage of all that overshield and utilise melee retaliation and build dante into a melee frame on this premise?
