    I cannot understand why we should use a feminin number before a masculin noun as in "thalaatha ikhwa".

      Thank you very much, Sir, for your answer.
      Now I understand that 1 and 2 should be used after the noun with the same gender and 3 to 10, should be used before the noun with the opposite gender.
      You are a very good teacher. I just started your Unit Two course.
      Best Regards from Rio de Janeiro.

    Thalaath is the masculine version of 3, and thalaatha is the feminine version of 3. So, to answer “hal akhan laka?” Shouldn’t we say: “lee thalaathu ikhwa”?

    • @SaffatUllah
      @SaffatUllah 4 года назад

      Similarly, to answer “kam ukhtan laka?” Shouldn’t we say, “lee thalaathatu akhawaat”?

      I think thalaatha is feminie already. Thalaath is masculine

      With the counting numbers 3-9, it is reversed. Yep, reversed. So masculine nouns get feminine numbers, and f nouns get m numbers.
      Think of it as one of them needing to be feminine in a biggish group, to you know, balance it out.
