The person who shared about his past tragic experience with his dad made me emotional. Hugs to you! You are such a brave and an amazing man. If I can just embrace you all. May we all win and be happy in life. Love, from the PH❤
The sharing by this young man who has been hurt and abandoned by his parents is a resilient person. Kudos to you! U r special! U have done well! Glad tt President is extending his hand of fellowship n help to this young man. Hope to hear good news for him. ❤
Kudos to the producer of this program who came up with this idea. Fantastic program and helps us put many things in perspective. To me, the real stars of the program are the handicapable young people.
Very happy and proud to see our President, so much in his person-self and genuine sincerity to spend time with the audience. Kudos to him with respect. God Bless you Mr President.
Awesome program, much more interesting questions than the run-of-the-mill PC questions in most other programs. Also, I'm so proud to have such a wise and compassionate President
I think this is a wonderful engagement with another diversified group of Singapore. I got to know the President better. Thanks for the questions asked 👍
Another fun episode, some charming and interesting questions posed by the members. I liked the question about the uneconomical purchase, quite witty since Tharman was a ex-Minister of Finance, and also the question about personal insecurity although methinks he was humble bragging a bit? I mean if the man who previously ran two ministries at once has problems with discipline and paying attention, what about us average joes?
It sounds like he is subtly linking to a policy/political answer in every answer xD don’t ask for much, be content with however little you have, etc. doesn’t really reveal weaknesses/insecurities, sounds quite guarded.
Unfortunately not all people are like most of the Singaporeans who are kind, healthy in mind and has no ulterior motives to others. Imagine him saying he is allergic to certain things to the public, increasing risk to himself to ??? folds. Maybe I've watched to much drama. Hahaha.
@@starshine9836 true la but one must balance being genuine/showing a vulnerable side too. @mediacorp superb content, but the audio post is a letdown, the audio level is inconsistent (glaringly). Would have been easily fixed if the editor even looked at the waveform. Hi @Tharman Shanmugaratnam, your intellect and wisdom really shine through this discussion. You were my Favourite Minister during your tenure as Education Minister. Your appreciation of "An Jing" by Jay Chou is interesting. It is as you say quite a soulful song. Like you I'm into music as well and use it as an expression of myself, my favourite songs goes across all genres and all languages. Acapella being my favourite genre. Munnaeru Vaalibaa was my favourite NDP song sung by the NDP choir growing up. I just found this Tamil Medley on youtube, it highlights tamil culture and I'm sure you will enjoy it. ruclips.net/video/oz80WnvCtbM/видео.html To the ASD with the abusive family, my heart goes out to you. Give yourself a pat on the back for being able to live on your own independently while navigating the struggles that come with ASD. I should know, as I'm an ASD myself as well. We all go through up and downs in life and the struggles are what makes us stronger. You have my utmost respect!!
@@ysngngys7753 I don't think negative of Tharman, I simply note that he did not give a deep answer. When asked what makes him angry, he said 'my cats'. In my view, that is a superficial answer and it is a missed opportunity for the audience to learn more about Tharman.

TS campaigned on representing all Singaporeans during PE but told the interviewers the Presidency is not a political role. Did he lie to Singapore electorates or taking these interviewers for a ride? TS has lost the respect of many Singaporeans.

I'm a neurodivergent individual myself and I think it's lovely how CNA thought to gather all these folks together and engage our President :))
Huge credits to the person/team who came up with this show. So far, after 2 episodes, I'm loving it!!
Amongst the most honest and most enriching program by CNA. So.proud to be Singaporean as.CNA originates.from my beloved country Singapore 🇸🇬

Such a great programme. Well done CNA . Love shows like these.
Also, so glad to have Mr Tharman as president
We always have something to learn from his answers! I love the way he takes questions in a calm manner and answers them nicely!❤
Tharman’s brain have more processing power than a CPU. Legit intelligent and quick on the feet.
Excellent production by CNA Insider. I am glad they gave voices to these fellow Singaporeans that are less-heard and special. Well done CNA.
Love this series! Having journalists that ask unfiltered questions reveals a different side of these personalities/politicians

It was like a non-answer
These interviews took place in January 2020 together with Prime Minister Lee, Tharman, and a few other Government Legislators/Ministers.
I have a colleague who if I closed my eyes and listened to him, would think it was him.
