- Well hello there, how is everyone doing? I made another Daryl Dixon tribute, and I’m pretty satisfied with it, I think I accidently used a scene 3 times xD but hell like Rick would say “shit happens”. Let me know what you kind of editing you like the most? And how about the colour grading?
I wanted an easy song to edit to and this kind of is, until the end, then it gets way too messy and I can’t even hear the beat. BUT IM STILL ON BEAT!
The song is “Come As You Are” by “Blakwall”. This is a covered version, the real song is written by none other than the one and only “Nirvana”.
The rendering took sooooo long though, you can’t imagine how long the colour grading takes. It takes almost 5 times as long as normal. So if you think the colouring is ugly, let me know, it takes me a lot of effort and when it doesn’t pay off I don’t want to do it anymore.

I can't find the words to describe how much I love this video. This is my favourite Daryl Dixon Tribute I've ever watched and trust me I've watched a lot of them! xD The colouring is something new but damn it fits so well with this video. You followed the beat which makes this video so satesfiting to watch. I also just realized that you are really close hitting the 1k! Besides I wanted to tell you how much you insipire me to edit videos and to keep it up because I can see that dreams can come true.. :)

Hell yeah kekker this was awesome!! This video was so good (like all your videos lol) the coloring, how closely it followed the beat, the song choice itself, it was all just so damn good. I also thought the thumbnail was lit as hell, I didn't even know season 9 photos had been leaked until this video. Amazing video man I loved it!!

Yeah :( I think they should have kept Beth a little longer, same goes for Merle. They were extremely important characters to Daryl and now he doesn't really have anyone to connect with. But new showrunner should solve that, she is the one that made the bond between beth and daryl in the first place.

Kekker A bad editing job can ruin a decent tribute, it's a skill that not everyone has the patience for. Patience is good to have and like I told Warleader, so is humility because it makes you feel you can improve and get better, without humility you become either arrogant or set yourself up for failure through self-doubt.
Oh I know every mistake I make. I have learnt so much over the past 8 months, if you compare this to my first video it's pretty funny xD
But even in this one I made countless mistakes, and I already know how to fix them and work more efficiently, with every video I learn more and more.
I'm not arrogant, I know when something looks bad, but I also know when something is decent enough to be put to the public. I honestly think this video here is pretty good, 8/10 maybe. But I try to keep learning, always.

And as to the keyframes: Everything after Daryl kills Dawn are keyframes. Almost everything before that are transitions with 1 exception where I was just experimenting on how it looks.

Yeah I get that hardcore Nirvana fans prefer the real version, and as one myself I do think nobody can match Kurt Cobains voice. However if I have to look from a editing standpoint this version suits better with my editing style, and that's why I chose to use the cover and not the original. Thanks for watching!
