Ryan Day does a weekly call in show on thurs but the questions from fans are submitted in writing before the show. The radio host then picks the questions.

I remember back in the day (like in 2012 or 2013 when I was younger and went to EVERY game) Dabo Swinney et al would do stuff like the radio calls at the local BILO (or maybe it was Ingles) on Hwy 93 in Clemson near Hwy 123. Was always hearing about it on the car radio and drove by it frequently.
Georgia used to do the call in show on Sunday nights for an hour, when Kirby got to Georgia that changed, the bulldog radio network does a show on Thursday nights, Kirby comes on with Scott Howard and answers calls,emails and live questions from fans at location for about 35 minutes or so, surprised you did not know this Lou!

Auburn still does a weekly radio show but its just the radio crew and the coaching staff. They havent taken calls in years..

I've heard Kirby take some calls on a radio show a few years ago. It wasn't a regular thing, though.
Call in shows and the Sunday coaches shows are a dying breed. My late uncle, a diehard Gator lifer, always told me stories when he lived in Pensacola for a couple of years in the 70s how big the Bear Bryant Show was on Sunday afternoon around 2. Even the NFL couldn't compete.
That being said, Dabo is still a chode. Go Gators.

The thing is, is it actually trolling, or trying to give criticism? If the format changes to where they only cherry-pick the questions being asked, you can bet none of them will be negative, and they will paint both the coach and the program itself as being rosy. The fans also deserve to hold their program accountable, and to me, this seems like taking away their opportunity to do just that.
It seems like a slippery slope to me, personally.
Why would Dabo or any head coach of a major school do a call in show? It adds no value to the program and gives a caller his or her 15 minutes of fame. Let’em get into Lou’s chat like the rest of us.

Notre Dame and no absolutely not Marcus Freemen does not do a show. Brian Kelly would do somethings at a restaurant when he was here but not Freemen.
Kelly still does a weekly show at a local restaurant in Baton Rouge. They pre-screen the questions now, though, after Coach O’s last year in 2021. Angry fans and trolls were calling in asking him about the blondes and stuff. 😂

I can’t blame coaches for not doing call in shows simply cause they don’t have to but what’s hilarious is that as I’m a Vols fan and you troll the Vols and you get trolled, we as fans or at least Uncle Lou and I don’t get butt hurt over trolling while Dabo making $10m+ a year gets his feelings hurt😊 Dabo in 2022 was so sure they were gonna beat the Gamecocks and be Playoff bound and the Vols were gonna be at home flipping burgers…neither team made it and the Gamecocks seen to that! Dabo as the face of what was once arguably the top 2 programs in CFB can dish it out but can’t take it, that should give us a little insight on Dabo and why he makes some of the silly decisions he makes GBO🍊🍊

UK and Mark Stoops does weekly radio call in show. However, they read half the questions through email. 4-5 actual live calls per week. He and the Mark Pope are paid well for the shows.

It’s an interesting thing you just mentioned, Clemson has always been mediocre, except for when dabo came. That’s true, I don’t ever really recall Clemson being on top of the world in football. Last time riley faced UGA his offense was out scored 65-7. I think dabo knows whats coming, therefore this was a bitch move.
As a UGA fan i feel like this attack on Dabo is kinda cheesy. Not from you necessarily but in general. He probably should focus on the season and not being press Secretary for clemson.
