Wetlands: වෘක්ෂ/wruksha

Wetlands are very important ecosystems that have unique fauna and flora communities. The biodiversity of these areas is very high. The benefits of wetlands are enormous. Due to the activities of human, these valuable ecosystems are under many threats.
Ramsar convention has been signed by many countries in order to protect their wetlands. Sri lanka is also a party to this convention. We have 6 Ramsar declared wetland sites in Sri Lanka.
In this video wruksha chanell hopes to give some basic knowledge on this invaluable ecosystems.
