So there’s plenty of ways that I think AI can help. Sometimes I have no idea how to write a song, maybe I’m just stuck in a loop not knowing how to put something into words, and hearing someone’s opinion about how to write something, because ChatGPT sucks at writing lyrics. I’m just gonna say, at least gives me a spot to start. I had someone literally just type out ChatGPT and then wrap those lyrics on the song, and you can tell when it’s generated. But as someone who also commissions artists for art, I like to make something on an AI generative platform in an effort to best formulate my idea About something that I want drawn. In one way, I wouldn’t ever use it commercially because obviously AI art is still very rudimentary, and it’s obvious that it’s not completed, but also because I would rather work with an artist who actually can sharing my vision. But I hated what I used to do before hand where I got a bunch of random reference material and then tried to Frankenstein‘smonster it together. I felt like that was unfair to the artist, but also myself. But yeah, just typing in a prompt for some music and then saying it’s yours, which is a lot of AI art users are calling themselves by just putting in prompts, I think that is wrong and definitely needs to be under scrutiny. And the same thing is true with people using someone’s voice in order to get a feature or write a song a way that they think an artist would write it. I think that is not only harmful to art as a whole and what we should expect from artists, but it’s also disrespectful to that artist, especially if they’re still alive, having any sort of creative liberty about what they met. As soon as you take away, someone’s hands to make a piece of art or take away their voice, I think you’re stealing and you deserve jail time.
The biggest sin in music is lazy song writing. AI is for the laziest people. It can only ever attempt to recreate what is already done. How fucking boring. The internet is about to be flooded with mediocrity.
That makes no sense. For one thing, "lazy song writing" isn't even something people talk about--let alone talk about it as the biggest sin one could commit. I tend to think directly stealing someone else's music and trying to pass it off as your own is _substantially_ more frowned upon than being lazy about writing songs. Let's be real here. I agree with you that recreating what's already been done is boring. But that's not necessarily what's happening when someone makes music with ai. Maybe you think ai just pieces together a bunch of bits from existing works in order to make something "new", but that's actually not how it works. You know where there's a lot of boring recreation and repitition going on? The entire music industry... for like 20+ years. Hollywood to an even greater extent. Where've you been?..
To me its simple: If its only used purely as a tool to help, to start off writing a song, or for a challenge or a meme, its totally fine. If it is being used just to pump out music and be called someone's original work, obviously not. Tbh AI really needs to be regulated or at least have some sort of thing that can keep it in check.
My idea to get rid of it is to give an ultimatum, anything ai generated has to give a payout to whatever media is sources from, and images can't be used commercially, unless they want to pay all the source creators as well. Either people would actually get paid for their art being used, or more likely no one would go for it
😮 in the next 10 years😮 when you say art kids will naturally go you mean AI art😮 the same way when you think internet they immediately go you mean Wi-Fi😮 time destroys all😮
I have no interest in ai “””art””” and its use in any facet of any creative endeavour. It’s just yet another method for corporations to avoid paying artists
So if you heard a song and really liked it, then later found out it was ai generated, you would get all grumpy about it and force yourself not to like it anymore? Why? That's totally silly. Just because it's ai doesn't mean all the things you liked about it are invalid. If you enjoy something, there are reasons you enjoy it--so just enjoy it. Letting some silly bias get in the way of you enjoying something is crazy. You don't even have a good reason why beside "because not human". So what? If you liked an ai song without knowing, then it obviously has nothing to do with some affinity for the human element. I've seen tons of others make a similar case, but it just doesn't hold water logically..
@@VARVIS_ it's unclear to me what that principle is. Or maybe it would be more accurate to say I've never heard anyone clearly articulate the rational foundations of this alleged principle. Yes, I did watch this video--all the way through. It could be said that you made a case for your opinion, but not so much that you outlined a priciple to abide by. If you think you did, then give me a timestamp so I can review whaat you said more carefully. I'm honestly trying to understand where this idea is coming from; if it is a legitimate proposition or not..
AI is the work of the devil, period.

Absolutely man! Totally agree

the only way I accept it it's to ask ai for an idea. like, to get the starting point and then you, I mean the human, do all the work
Agreed
ALL AI must be destroyed. We’ve been warned about its dangers for far too long.
you saw that movie too huh?

That wouldn't be possible, because generative ai doesn't source from any media..

This video is so well explained.
Idc about AI music as long as there is some way to tell them apart from real music
Why is that important to you?..
@SineEyed well, if I want to listen to human made music and skip AI it would be kinda convenient
People say death metal is satanic, Ai is
And black metal

@@lalolanda3996 why?..
People really need to understand how AI works. It is really not all that it's marketed to be. A lot of it is just hype and wishful thinking.
Please explain how it works then..
You can tell this video isn't AI generated. It's made by an indivdual who makes human errors. 6:31
