I grew up right across the border from BC in Washington state! We used to go to Victoria and the island pretty often as kids. My grandparents lived in Campbell River. I have an uncle who still lives on the island in Nanaimo. Used to visit BC pretty often to visit my aunt and her family in the lower mainland until they moved east. I remember going to the museum in Victoria but I don’t remember much-I was pretty little. I never did get to go to tea at the Empress but I always wanted to go!
